I remember getting this record as a youngster back when it came out as a 45 on Atlantic Records.
I liked the Tokens version, but I was big on this one too. Less cluttered, more streamlined (IMO) made this remake a nifty one.
I sure do miss the days when you could buy newly released 45 records... for those of you born not of that era, you did indeed missed a great time in musical history.

I have always preferred this version to the Tokens. It just sounds better and I was like 13 when it hit.

I always thought this was an extremely good cover version of a great song. I'm not saying it's better, but it is very enjoyable in ti's own right.

CD's are fine, but vinyl is supreme.
