Last night I dreamed about the weeping angels and the new doctor. David Tennant was still there-- it was like the part of him that didn't regenerate and he wasn't the 'real' doctor--he was just all the bitterness and anger left over or something--he didn't want to go.I liked the new doctor; one part he fell and I was so sorry for him. The angels would show up randomly and there was this one scary part where an angel 'got' a man standing on his porch--I sort of saw it in flashes.

This is the best episode ever to introduce/addict someone to Doctor Who, as it's seen completely from Sally's perspective. At the end, everyone I know who's seen this has imagined themselves in her shoes...and have all thought that if it's just the possibilities of a relationship with someone, rather than being in one completely already...? No contest: you HAVE to ask The Doctor if you can run with him, as (teaser, not spoiler) a final footnote in those papers.

This was my introduction to Dr. Who after i had been ignoring it for 40 years. I watched because the talented Carey Mulligan has been so charming in promoting her film "An Education" that i am crushing on her . Well, i was blown away by the brilliant script. Steven Moffet wrote a story that had likable, well defined characters ,  suspense and humor. The weeping angels as the loneliest and kindest assassins in the galaxy are so well conceived that i have become a fan of the Doctor.

It's the best TV theme song ever made.

Somewhere in the late 80s, the art of good theme songs died out (thanks to shortening programmes to make way for adverts).

It's nice to hear at least one that has survived.
