  • Good job on the helmet dude one of the best ones out there, but there is 1 thing that i hope u should add into your pieces instead of using yellows and red use varieties of orange candies it adds depth within your piece and allows for an optical illusion...

  • @Av3rythe

thanks!! actually that's what I do now. it does work! thanks again!

  • well done mate.....nice job.....chiko

  • looks good but thats too much use of stenciling and not enough free hand... i see way too many repetitive paterns

  • @BtrayinMF actually, you're right...I think that too. I've been working on it...trying to do more freehand... thanks for your comment.

  • but dont get me wrong it is a very nice piece you have done i got to give you that compared to the garbage i have seen on youtube yours ranks up with the pros. have you checked out mike levellies true fire stencils? that would also give you a variety of alot more patterns @jzama85

  • @BtrayinMF oh no problem...I appreciate that comment really...it feels good when someone tells me I'm doing a good job. Actually, I admire lavallee a lot... he's one of my biggest influences on airbrushing... I''l be uploading a video of a motorcycle soon... see ya!

  • Question: @ about 2:45, after the yellow highlight's, it look's like you covered the entire helmet in a coat of Kandy Orange (those yellow highlight's were suddenly a shade of red/orange), and then you started the 'hotspots' in white..... would you mind listing the color's used, in order, including any Kandy coat's? I would really appreciate your response... and keep up the excellent art!!! Thank You very much for posting this video!

  • Holy!!! Right at the point where your vid has the caption "look's like I messed it up, huh?" I was thinking to myself... what the hell is he doing? LMAO Boy was I wrong! The end result is absolutely amazing!

  • Dan man you do some good airbrush work how long did it take you to paint that helmet and thanks for commenting on my video

  • thank you! Well, it took me about 6 hours...from cutting the front cap, scuffing, sanding, priming, sanding, painting...to the clear coat. In the video, the clearcoat was not even polished!! I loved that finish!!! And it was only a Truper paint gun, LOL!!!

tHANKS A LOT FOR YOUR COMMENT, BRO.

    JZ

  • nice job man ,....clear coat is something as transparent paint???

  • thank you!

actually, yes. clear coat is the protective transparent coat that gives the glossy finish to the piece, most of 'em provide UV protection for the paint underneath. It take lots of practice to master, but done well makes your work look beatiful.

  • learnig a lot from giys like ed hubbs ,..you ,.. cantfindname,..youngtalent ,..etc,.... im gonna do a tank from motorcycle ( where the petrol goes in ,..) how to work on this??

preparation of any kind?? what paint to use? and at least i guess the clear coat :-))

need some help and tips haha dont want an angry motor cyclist on my doorsteps lolll

  • Well, prep is super-important ! you gotta make sure to fix all the dents, scratches etc. Paint remover will be your loyal acid friend to see the tank in bare metal. use paste to repair scratches, and a good primer, for this is the key for the paint to stick well on the tank. base paint is what you need. DO NOT trust cheap clear coats! you can do a perfect airbrushing and use a crappy clear and the work will be torn into crap. use DUPONT, PPG, or House of Kolor paints and catalyzed clear.

  • I like man,

    it s fantastic.Great job!

  • hahaha!! c'mon you saw my other airbrush vids!! LOL

thanks a lot for the comment, Ed.

  • Hey I thought that you only did "T" shirts. LOL

    Nice work I am impressed!

  • BUBUBUBU- BAD 2 da bone! What did you do in between 3:33 and 3:40 to make the colors blend? Did you just use a yellow over the white?

Great Job! Thanks for sharing it!

  • That's right. The problem was that the place where I aplied the yellow, was too "particle-and-solvent-foggy " for the camera.

    Thanks for the comment, man.

  • too cool. What kind of paint do you use on stuff like that?

  • Thank you very much! I use Automotive Base Colors. Mostly, DuPont or House of Kolor.
