First Ear stretch 16G

How long had you had you had your ears pierced? I got my ears pierced like almost three months ago now and want to stretch to only a 16G

Okay when I got my ear done I got it done with a 22' I see everyone has 18's. I originally thought that 22 was the standard. I recently moved up to 18. But just wondering if the norm?

LOL @thehalogirl 20 is the gauge of the average earring stud. That's why I started at 18g

Wth I started with an 18g taper because I rarely wore earrings and my ears werent stretchy at all. Who cares, theres no rule that says have you have to start at a larger or smaller size, just start where you are comfortable and when you get to larger sizes never skip!!!

16 g are Ur normal hole size just an FYI 14G is the first size

I have 16g fake tapers that i got for free but at the moment i have normal sized piercings(18g i think). Will it hurt if I put these in? and since they are long will it hurt to sleep in? i dont plan on going big at all. I just want to fit these particular ones. Thanks!

@mipie1998 it doesn't hurt but when you get to bigger sizes it'll sting more you're suppose to use lubricant like vitamin e oil, holy butter, or jojoba oil you can sleep in them but you're suppose to do a follow through when you get to 8g (they usually don't make smaller plug sizes)

@mipie1998 it should not hurt if you do it correctly and you give time for your ears to heal before the next stretch. I sleep with my plugs in; I wouldn't sleep without them until you have had your ears stretched for a long time

@velderia I used my lip labret studs for gauging my ear from a regular earring to a 16. You can find them at walmart if you wanna be super cheap and still have stainless steel.

Don't listen to the losers in the comments that you shouldn't be using tapers and what size you should start at. You're taking the very best precautions and being safe. That's what stretching is all about - being smart about it and using patience.

If u want to u can go from a 12 staight to a 6 and it wont rip ur ear

16g is so weak to start with and you definately dont need tapers. I could put 16gs in without tapers easy.

@Prindable I think a standard earing is an 18G. So it should fit, but there might be a slight twinge when you put it in.

@iSquishMoths Here is a question for you. Why would they sell 16G tapers if people dont use them? You have to start somewhere, and I am in control of my own body, and I can make decisions for myself. I know what works for me, everyone is different.
