Oh Mercy songs always sound like other songs by other people - and I mean that in a good way, gives them a strangely nostalgic sense of appeal. Mostly they sound like the Go-Betweens - I keep on hearing Streets of Your Town when I listen to them. I swear, though, the opening of this song sounds like the opening of Summer Rain by Belinda Carlisle.
