@VanDammedia Aparently yes...since the robot haves it's original name they've should let the characters have their original names too...The girl that represents to be Sayaka with short hair is named Yuki Tsubasa...the 2 Mazinkaiser SKL pilots are Ken Kaido= Kouji Kabuto and the other one Ryou Megami= Tetsuya Tsurugi or maybe Duke Fleed

@VanDammedia The official statement from Dynamic Pro is that SKL is made as a revival of the Mazinkaiser franchise. In that sense, SKL has absolutely no relation at all to any previous Mazinger stories and is considered a brand new story similar to New Getter Robo.

@Rennba This new Mazinkaizer SKL actually has nothing to do with the original Mazinkaiser! It's just that Go Nagai gathered the most successful elements (characters) and cast them as actors to create a new OVA! You see, it has a bit of Grendizer, Gundam, Devilman, and of course the Mazinger canon. I believe it'd be satisfying for all the fans of the shows mentioned.

@Rennba Which Mazinkaiser are you referring to? There are 3 versions of Mazinkaiser that came before SKL. The original version was an evolved Mazinger Z after being exposed to the Getter Rays of Shin Getter Robo. The 2nd was the prototype Mazinger that has 3 modes - the berserk Devil Mode, the standard Z Mode, and the unseen God Mode. The 3rd was the one from the OAV series.

@bdpickett Why? Chances are the direction and the story won't be as good as Shin Mazinger. All I'm expecting from this which Shin Mazinger didn't deliver enough is good animation all through out, but Shin Jeeg sucked in that department and I don't think they're picking Imagawa for this one. So yeah, I'm more worried for Mazinkaiser SKL than I was for Shin Mazinger.

@Getterzinger Well that's because Shin Mazinger already had solid storyline. Little bits of elements were taken from the previous series God Mazinger and Z Mazinger and the original Mazinger Z comics. Mazinkaiser OVA was created just to promote the Super Robot Wars character.

They DBZed the shit out of Shin Mazinger. I don't mind if they develop the story a lot, but it should not take 8 episodes to defeat Doublas M2 and Garada K7! Super Robot Shows, the enemies should not take more than one episode to defeat. Maybe towards the end of the series you can drag out the battles, but thats because the enemies are tougher and need bigger effort. That's why I quit on Shin Mazinger.

By the way can you able to translation what on that website say or anything such Character name? I am guessing that one guy is Koji and other guy is Tetsuya great mazinger pilot? I am feeling this is not continue to Shin Mazinger Impact. Plus that Mazinkaiser is completely a whole new design from which old kaiser we have seen. What SKL stand for?
