This is absolute fear mongering bull shit. Yes, some people are misdiagnosed, some will end up abusing medications, some won't respond as they should to a medication, but there are so many others who take these medications and it drasticly improves their quality of life. It s ultimately up to an individual to use or not use amedication and if used to use it propperly and monitor themselves for side effects. This seems like a film that belongs in the same catagory as Reefer Madness.

i was forced to take anti depressants since i was 15, it ruined my life... I'm 28 now and have been off anti-depressants for about 5 months now. Paxil gave me high blood pressure as well as making me not feel anything for anyone. Since then it's been hard. I had an upsurge of extreme emotion but have since learned how to handle it.

can't tell you how glad i didn't go on zoloft or whatever when i was younger, after i told my shrink that i refused to go on the antidepressents he kept trying to push it on me more, then i threatened to just quit the sessions, and he just about flipped out. I was 17 at the time, and was going to a counselor just bc of some things going on then. He kept telling me I was sick in the head, and said these horrible things would happen if I didn;t go on antidepressents, I'll take my chances.

You know what annie, My Deputy headmaster who was the most gentle of men killed his Wife then himself 4 days after starting to take prozac. WHY WHY WHY is it wrong for people to feel sad at times when it is normal to feel that way, he had retired and had loved his work of course he was sad and needed help to adjust...NOT PILLS. Feeling sad at the loss of a loved one or ones lifes work is normal it's not depression. Depression is a clinical condition where the sadness has no reason. I hate pills.

Very few people are mentally ill in the true sense of the word. The rest get some diagnosed with one of hundreds of "disorders" that they pull out of the DSM which reads like the Dewey Decimal system so that they keep adding more to it each year. Merely being prejudiced is even classified as having a mental disorder in DSM. It's how the psychiatrist gets a paycheck, the pharmacy gets to sell drugs, and you get on the public dole for having a mental disability. It's all a huge racket

This is a problem for people who speak out against over prescribing, they get tarred with association with the extremist hate group the church of scientology and the citizen's commission for human rights; those whose agenda is "the global obliteration of psychiatry".

Many adults and children have been helped by drugs and other therapies. Many have also suffered. All those with bad stories of the drugs initially sought them as a solution.

I was prescribed an anti-depressant by a phone-in psychiatrist. My allergies and medical history were not asked of me and no follow-up of any kind occurred. I was not a guinea pig because no information of any kind was compiled. I had horrifying reactions to the drug. It was an absolute poison. I should be dead. That was the only point of this drug. DEATH. Why don't you people understand? You want help? They want you dead.

Pharma companies have no ethics. They are run on pure greed. It's all about profit.

Force-dosing animals in vivisection labs does not show how humans will react to these drugs, yet the FDA requires animal testing.

Even after clinical trials in a small amount of humans show deadly adverse effects, the FDA still approves the drug.

I would agree that parents are part of the equation...there's no doubt about that. There is a caveat, however, and that is that parents first need to be told the TRUTH. If they were to see GENERATION RX, for example, and STILL chose to drug their kids, then they would be wholly liable for their actions
