Tau Ceti is a star in the constellation Cetus that is similar to the Sun in mass and spectral type. At a distance of just under 12 light years from the Solar System, it is a relatively close star. Tau Ceti is metal-deficient and so is thought to be less likely to host rocky planets. Observations have detected more than 10 times as much dust surrounding Tau Ceti as is present in the Solar System.
The pass would have been a great place to surf but it's way too crowded all year round, I only live down the road and I hardly ever surf the pass, maybe twice a year.
I had a guy drop in on me there who was yelling at the next guys along who had dropped in on him, I couldn't stop laughing at what a clown he was, I can't even get upset when I go there, it's bordering on comical. There are some good locals and 300 learners but tit gets aggressive and it's a horrid vibe out there.
nzwarrior89, I know what you mean, I leave Byron to be Byron, the best wave I never caught was at Byron and the guy who burned me was a good surfer too, it was an accident and I was cool but FUCK!!!.
It was 6ft and peeling and pitching , dude's were getting fat barrels, I took off and hit the pig dog and looked down the line and thought OH MY GOD this is gonna crank, then caught this dude above me clawing his way onto my wave! he took off and hit me we got sucked up the face and pitched out! :-(
Tone Loc, the tracksuit man, got given that suit by his girlfriend down in Vicco and she wanted him to take photos of himself at different land marks all around Australia - we talked him into doing the Karate Kid up at the hang gliding ramp and the Beachie drive by - I think he regretted it when he saw the vid lol.
