RUN-DMC single handed, and officially put "old school" rap in the grave and obituary. Old school rappers were on that "yes, yes, y'all, to the beat y'all" style. But when they came out, everybody, I mean everybody were saying "yo, did hear about them rappers from Queens, RUN-DMC?". Going to John F. Kennedy H.S. in the Bronx in the early 80's, the cats were blasting this song on the # 1 train and did not care about Transit Police - that's how much imaginary power this song and RUN-DMC gave us.

the pattern is not exactly the same,VERY similar but slower,I used to think so too but listen closely, it is NOT the same. Get both 12 inches,"Hollis Crew " and "Sucker MCs". Beatmatch them and you will hear the difference. There is also a longer delay in the reverb in Hollis Crew. See for yourself.
