@DarthPlaysGames Firstly, they do, in real life they have either widespread roots to collect all the water possible from the top layer.. or they have very deep roots that go through the sand to the moist mud underneath, and secondly, since this is Minecraft, the water is for the cactus that fall down into that water and are collected in the room underneath.
