Hey Andrew thanks for the videos and assorted lessons. I've been studying the PDF charts a lot since I first watched this lesson. Going back and playing along after studying, I noticed a discrepancy in the charts from this video.

For the A major scale, the G#dim chord you provide in the handout is played with the root on the 6th string, however in your video, you play a G#dim chord with the root on the 4th string.

Hey Andrew....I'm loving your tutorials and the worksheets that go with them really help. In the first exercise, you have the G# dim as lower fingering on the worksheet, but play it higher in the vid..trying to work it out...but thought you might like to know the little anomaly and adjust the finger patterns to the pdf. Thanks again...I've fallen back in love with my guitar and music! :)

i really dont understand how harmonizing works. how can i study it from the absolute basics. i must be missing something important. i do know like in the key of C Major or CM- dm7-em7-Fm7-g7-am7b5. so does harmonizing mean i make a chord from getting notes from those chords i mentioned?

Hello mojoefly,

To harmonize any scale, simply stack the notes in third intervals. If for example you want to harmonize a, "C Major Scale," Begin with the "C" then place an "E" on it, then place a "G" next, etc. Do this to each note in the scale and you have harmony (chords) for the scale.
