The best thing to dramatically increase your vertical and overall JUMP is this: get a solid chair that the seat goes only up to the middle of your knees. Get on you tiptoes and JUMP ON and then JUMP OFF(not drop off). Do that as fast as you can for 10mins everyday for a month. This will do it. In high school I was in shape, could grab the rim, but could not dunk. After doing this for 3 weeks, I was able to dunk. The 10mins are absolute hell but you'll get use to it. Good luck.

Slower is not better if you are a basketball, volleyball. What he is doin is more for stretching and getting the muscles and ligaments activated and limber. But when you do real weight, stuff like power cleans and deadlifts are very good power workouts. Explosiveness is what you need

Buy the Vertical Jump Bible. Search it up. Air Alert is crap, and there have been articles written about it explaining why you shouldn't do it (muscle fiber conversion, shin splints, knees, muscle imbalances, etc)
