No, it's not the official sony emulator that comes with the dark_alex firmware you noob.

It's a homebrew PSX emulator that never really got off the ground due to Sony making their own.

This emulator doesn't run at full speed, and I doubt it runs very many games.

Nah, i thought the psp could more, but the emulation is very bad. FF7 walks without lagging on my Dell Axim v51 1,2ghz and the Framerate is changeable...

well i hope the next beta of psx-P is better.
