@NolaGB thanks! nope, this was ink jet. make sure you use the right gel medium (golden) and make sure to wet the back of your transfer quite thoroughly! :)

I have Golden soft matte, regular matte and regular semi-gloss ... does it matter which one is used? I'll try wetting the back and letting it set for a while. I let it dry before, wet it and when I rubbed paper off, the ink went with it! lol Thank you! I'm going to try again.

Ok, how do you get your transfers to turn out so well? I am having no luck! How thick do you put on the gel medium and how long are you waiting before you pull off the paper? I am assuming that is a laser copy, not ink jet! I am sooo frustrated with trying this technique! Yours is soooo beautiful! I love that idea too! Thanks for sharing!

hiya, i have an epson stylus d120 (which i believe is ink, not sure though!) - the gel was sort of medium thickness - i didn't leave on for too long, perhaps 5 mins! the key i think is wetting the background thoroughly before pulling it off (not totally soaking it, but making it pretty wet!) try again and let me know if it worked. ps. i printed on standard printing paper, no photopaper or anthing! x

Tam - did you use photo paper or reg. printing paper? The transfer worked really well:-)

i used normal print paper (although a tad bit heavier than standard but don't think that makes a difference). i think the key to transfer is wetting the background before pulling it off! x

apparently youtube lost a contract with some major label! (viacom according to my friend) hence they are 'raiding' all the videos that have their music in it. before that, with that contract it was all cool. :(

Correct....this copyright issue has caused a lot of changes here, but frankly I'm surprised that it hadn't occurred sooner than this.

I know a lot of people are pissed about it, but if someone came along and posted one of my images on their music album, I would be pissed. They could use the argument that people were buying it for the music and not because of my art.

It's a touchy subject when we aren't SELLING the exact thing shown in our vids......I have no answers for that.

hello! :))) i uploaded the other version hoping that taking the snow bit out was going to give me the usual quality (did you not see the strange pixelation? maybe it's just my account or something!). i video-ed the snow bit with my new (CRAP) camera and it's been given me incredible headaches, the format is totally different and i think it's just not gelling with windows movie maker, so i though that maybe that interefered with the upload or something! anyhoo, going back to my old cam for sure!

I saw it for a minute (at which point I watched it), then I tried to click it again and it said 'this video was private' at which point I noticed the one that started with the snow.

I have noticed on our own videos that transitions (especially crossfades) tend to pixellise a lot. It sucks, and it's definitely youtube that does it, but we've decided that there's just nothing we can do really and just left them like that.

funny thing is that NOW it's all ok! (i think it takes youtube a while to convert it to a 'play in high quality' version and while it's doing that, the lower quality version is up. i'm now totally happy with the quality! lol. thanks i! x
