Rémy, I learned more from your series of videos than I did in all my self-guided study. You truly understand how to teach French to an English speaker. Thank you for sharing your multi-lingual and multi-media talents with all of us. A bientot!
Great video, I'm actually taking french classes and my teacher talked to me about La Galette, but she told me to search about it and you're video really helped now I understand more, I hope you put more videos about France and its culture. I'm going to suscribe you!
hi,if i get feve ,can i get more videos?jajaja ,u the best language teacher i have ever met ,i am taking the french classes too,,,i just cant follow him ,,,but you can put everything in order ,everything is so clear ...
Merci beaucoup pour l'information. Ma prof de francais n'a rien dire cette tradition. C'est tres interessante. (I hope all of that is correct.) And I hope you make more videos but thank you for your contribution and your helpfulness. Tu es un bon professeur.
Yes please make more videos. I have only just subscribed but am already half way through.... As a qualified English teacher I would like to say I admire your teaching style. It's Fab, Thank you very much, but we all need more!! :-)
thans to your lessons I really liked French and what is more I have started to learn it! Unfortunatelly you didn't made another videos and WE all aren't systematic :( could you do sth with it?? Pls???
OMG - I was living France many years ago and la galette des rois had not crossed my mind for many years! I remember I never won la fève! I'm glad you won it in your video ;-)
Hi Remy, I am a french beginner,, just found out your videos a couple of hours ago and watched them all over. Thank you very much for making them. I learned a lot from you. When are you planning to make more videos? and another question out of curiosity: how many languages do you speak? --best wishes.
Hi, Remy ! thank u for all ur videos, they are amazing. I learned a lot from them. By the way, we have the same tradition of L'Epiphanie in Armenia on January 6. That's when baby Jesus believed to be born. That's an Armenian Christmas. But it's a little bit different. Instead of la feve we put a coin. And if u r lucky to get one it means that coming year will bring you much of success. Thanks again and pls put more videos. I have finished all 17 lessons and can't wait for la lecon dix-huit. Merci
Yeah! Loved this video. This same tradition is practised in Mexico each 6th of January every year ... mais la galette est trop différent :D as it is circular as the one you've shown us but in the middle centre it has nothing just as if it were like a wheel.
Ah! This must be the precursor to what we have in New Orleans and South Louisiana around Epiphany called King Cake (Gateaux des Rois). I love that we share this tradition! Bonjour de Nouvelle Orleans!
Yummy! I would like to have one piece of the pie*^-^* la feve is cute*^-^* Interesting custom...Merci beaucoup for your appétissant french lesson*^-^* ...and I'm sorry that France lost against Mexico tonight.
I just posted my very first video ever on You-Tube as a response to this video...hope it worked!! I was nervous...lol. I never had the inclination to post one until now...
So I imagine that this is where we got our "king cake" tradition from in New Orleans... very cool! (though for us I wish that finding the baby didn't just mean that you buy the next cake :/ )
Thank you very much for your lessons. You are a wonderful ambassador for the french language. I was just recently in Paris for 3 days, and while I cannot speak French well, I was able to hear and read it enough that I got by. Paris is so beautiful and the art and architecture is like heaven on earth. Same for the food!
Remy thank you so much! You really have helped us. My grades are going higher after watching your videos. Merci beaucoup! Even though I can write or speak French that well, I am able to understand almost all sentences... except the ones that use really tough ones of course... but I am sure I will get there soon. Thanks a lot!
man, i'm Mexican i lived the past 4 years in California and now i'm living in Paris, as you can imagine i'm learning French and your videos are helping me a lot, MERCI!
hi my name is karthik from india....for the last few weeks i am studying your french lessons ...it was amazing and easy ....my only worry is that i hadn't seen this videos till now....but now only i learn it...within 2 weeks i have seen 14 lessons ....i do not know this is the right way or i am going too fast.....i need your guidance about the ways of practice sir.....and thanks for reading my comment....au revoir..
Je suis contente que vous êtes encore la, et aussi contente que vous avez beaucoup de choses à faire, pas juste youtube! Parfois, je trove que votre videos est un peu lente, mais vous êtes adorable quandmême!
Salut Remy! Merci beaucoup pour le video. I miss your lessons. I would really appreciate a lesson on how to use demonstrative pronouns or demonstrative adjectives - ce, ces, cet, cette, celle, celui celui-ci, celle-là etc. Je trouve ça très difficle. Another great help would be a lesson on how to use the pronouns y or en. Thank you.

Une fève is actually a bean.

with tradition, deem the others to
be peasants, swiftly exile them to
some god-forsaken place pre-empting
any thoughts of...guillotine and
then just frolic the palace in my
funny hat.
