  • And if you pass the current through the magnet itself, you will get a 'lorenz o' , a spinning vortex, which is the basis for all electric motors. In fact everything in the entire universe, micro or macro, is fundamentally based on electro-magnetism.

  • thats ehhhhh pretty ehhh fascinating ehhhh thanks for, thanks for ehhhhh good ehhhh video.

  • very good

  • There's a rule of sorts for this exact Law and it states that: if you take your thumb to be the current (direction) and your fingers, the magnetic field (stretched out,and again in the direction of the magnetic field) then the direction of the force would be,figuratively speaking, coming out of your palm.

  • very cool

  • Flaplace ,max =B*I*L

  • I had a Physics professor that would love this setup. He always joked about having one and using it as a generator for his house when we would do problems about the setup.

  • I like the video.

  • Nice demonstration. Good principle and video. Well done.

  • @srdickens Thanks! :)

Well. I don't believe it's possible to make a "free energy" machine working with magnets. When you design it you have one POV but then take a look at what pointing against you first POV and you'll discover they're equal. I believe it has even been proved mathematically. For true free energy I believe we need some much more exotic source like black energy, harvesting energy from particles popping into existence and disappearing again. But that machine needs to be big.

  • @HifiCentret Spend quite some time in my childhood trying to design a motor with only permanent magnets. That's how I realized that you have a quite obvious view when you design it. But then try reversing you view 180 degrees and "magically" the motor (in the human mind) seems to obvious run the opposite way of first thought. The truth is the push in both directions are equally over the revolution no matter how designed. They'll only run as long as the kinetic energy you've given them lasts.

  • This is great, how much voltage you applied?

  • Thanks :)

Well, this isn't as much about voltage as it's about current since the source you apply is practically short circuited. So I can't tell you the voltage. But I can tell you the amperage and it's 200 mA (0.2 A) delivered by a small lead acid charger. If trying to replicate this setup please use a power supply which can take short circuit or build/use a current limiter which can. A simple one is really just a resistor in series calculated for current when put on the power supply.

  • @HifiCentret

Or stick a light bulb inline.

  • I am researching electric power generators and this video will help me. Thanks!

  • Mr. Lorentz ,

    I like your accent :)

  • Thanks for nice comment :)

In reality I'm not very happy about it. But hey it's not my primary language ;)

  • Very nice!

  • Thanks for the demo!
