I think they left it up in the air on purpose. If they can find a way to bring her back next season, then she was just captured and if they don't bring her back, then we can assume that she's dead. We probably won't know until she either comes back or Kripke says something.

This episode really touched me as it showed a different side to Dean's vulnerability and having to face the hell issue etc...but it's THE MOST hated episode which really upsets me.
Oh well, I'll just have to keep loving it, (and them), with a very few!!

I'm not that much into love stories on Spn (except for Dean/Bela but unfortunatelly they didn't have real love story) but I absolutely loved the way you made this clip. And the song is matching. I'm glad that you liked the video so much! I think Dean really needed some sort of angelic understanding that wasn't Castiel because it's hard to bond with someone who keeps threatening to send you to hell or kill your brother. He and Anna are both fallen in their own way.
It's true that it is different with Castiel because of his threats. I wonder what will happen now that Anna is an angel again and has to obey orders... I hope she will be in the next episodes so we can find out.

You've pretty much named all the girls I've liked on this show. I adore Mary beyond words and both Layla and Carmen were great. I think Anna had the same kind of soothing energy about her that made him open up and feel comfortable. She's good for him.

In an interview with Sera Gamble on Buddy TV she said that both Anna and Alistair will be back this season. Probably not in the same bodies though.
