I used to be obsessed with Slavoj Zizek and Michel Foucault. Foucault knew how to party. Go out and get drunk, do some drugs, dance, get laid, start painting, travel, have a nervous breakdown, write some poetry, hang out with artists, learn an instrument, and put that book down every once in awhile, dear. Very nice presentation. It is PBS quality, and by that I mean so intent on educating the audience it becomes boring.
The bits shown here of Sahra are actually funny. I like Luis C.K. so I like comedy that first shocks you because of the lack of political correctness. The thing that turns me off about Sara is her fart and vagina jokes. And also she is all over the place in her comedy bits.

I stopped this at 2:18. Sarah Silverman is in fact correct, Mongolians have raped and pillaged through Europe which is how we traced certain blood antigens back to the mongolians through history. What seems to be your problem is that jews, women, blacks and gays have suffered oppression (and are still suffering) and have to find some comic relief - be it through stand up, sit coms, etc. Put down your grad school knowledge and learn to laugh.

That is to say, if anyone doesn't immediately understand what silverman is doing, then I doubt explaining it to them is going to make them understand.

It seems "bold," because she's doing what we don't permit of ourselves: to speak in public as in private. But our society doesn't suffer from a fear of approaching racist language, to be ameliorated by the boldness of jokes.
