The thing about my parents marriage is that they have silent arguments. They simply don't speak. I am never wasting my time and energy spent on a marriage because I am far too selfish and I hold my dignity too close to me for someone else to damage it. I never saw the point in marriage, even as a woman, I never dreamed of the big day or the many years after. Maybe I'm just cynical but I don't see anything happy about the thought of marriage.
