The voice of an angel when I was growing up.  His voice sang to me in many ways.

For me, Robertino's voice was sort of a saving-thing! I remember being so young and desprerate because of finding that I am gay. Hated by religion, I desperately found reasons to love some things in life, like his voice! That has saved me; I did not commit suicide like many others!

To me, his voice is far more beautiful than the voice of all the super-educated soprano-boys in the world! I would like to hear the opinion of more educated people specialized in music. Why is is so? Am I alone with my perception, or is it something to it?

No you are not the only one who believes so, many (and so am I) share the same opinion. The answer is rather simple: sometimes beauty is based on simplicity and not on the extreme that many perform, like many opera trained singers for example. Besides it is a matter of respecting the style of what you sing, and Loretti has all the light of the Neapolitan sun in his voice by nature. He doesn't have to "fabricate" anything while singing as trained voices usually do. What more to say?

Nobody knows how important was Robertino at his time! There is no movie with him, nothing! But his beautiful voice has changed the political atmosphere in Rusia after Stalin! To think that even much later, the last wish of Boris Yeltzin was to...kiss him on his mouth, Russian-style! Which he did!

Wow...You CAN find just about anything on YouTube!My mother used to have a Robertino album back in the 60's. She loved his Italian songs, as she was Italian. I have been trying to find his music for years. I even asked at Italian Festivals, and no one knew who he was. Mile Gratsi! This is wonderful Thanks!!
