We're Doing this Play in May this year. I got casted as Golde... This Was Amazing... I hope to do as well as Anyone on the stage... Sides the ghosts... they were a bit pitchy
They could have worked on Lazer Wolf's dead wife's costume a little; maybe add something a little more eerie etc... All I can really see is messy hair, and some black and white makeup
I saw Fiddler on the Roof w/ Topol last week and well for one thing he was hilarious but they used a mane sitting on someones shoulders for Fruma Sarah
and they had some symblols and Topol went up to him and was "watch it" and the next time he put a pillow between them, it was funny
Wen my skool did this scene we put a wire, leading from the back of the theater to the stages extirior design on top. She flew in and faced the audience in the middle of the air. Her clothes were all ragged and ripped and her face had some very white makeup on her. wen she flew back she threw confetti over the audience, It was so cool!
It was good, though I think Fruma Sarah could have been bigger. I mean in the sense that she could have used her arms more instead of pulling them close.
My school is also doing this play and we choreographed this scene today. Ours is alot like this- it's so creepy! We'll also all have masks, but cut kind of like phantom of the opera. I'm really looking forward to it.
these peopele know how to put on a fricken production! We are doing this at my middle school. I'm Tzeitel, and the girl who plays frumah sarah is so scary and great at the part in our show! This is truly awesome and they did a great job with the setting and smoke machine, etc. we might buy a smoke machine for ours! Great Job!
This is probably the best HS Fiddler performance on Youtube! Our school is doing it in the spring, and I'd be happy if our show turns out half as good as this!
This was the high school that Patton Oswalt graduated from, a bit over twenty years ago. Not related to this clip, but still interesting, in a six-degress kind of way.
haha, i love this song....my friend is doing it at Durant Road Musical Theatre. She's Chava. Well, at least i think that's how you spell it. I love the song Tradition as well as this one.
Thank u so much! U see i really need this for my proj in school! You are such a great help, I watched this play in our school when I was in grade 2 sumthing but I forgot the story thanks again this is a really good and well done video!
"Fiddler on the Roof" is set in the small Jewish village of Anatevka, Russia, in 1905 and is concerned primarily with the efforts of Tevye, a dairyman, his wife, Golde, and their five daughters to cope with their harsh existence under Tsarist rule.
And to add: In this scene, the ghost "Fruma Sarah" makes a dramatic appearance about halfway into the scene to voice her strong displeasure that Tevye has blessed the marriage of his daughter to her widowed husband Lazar Wolf. At the scenes conclusion, Golde has bought into the idea that Tzeitel should instead marry the poor tailor Motel Kamzoil instead of the rich butcher! Note: Teyve "made up" the dream so his wife would be the one to suggest they break their marriage bargain with the butcher.
Great job, could use some mics though.

Looks like that doesn't it? They used inexpensive white plastic masks. Added a frightening element I think.
