  • this game is scary

  • Best ps1 game ever.

  • Best game ever..

And that's why i made a Dubstep remix of it haha

Check it out if you got some spare time :)

  • I loved playing this when i was younger, never beat it, or even got that far but i played it every day for nearly a year.

  • Video game music like this has influenced my own musical work more than most other composers/bands/etc have. It's so wonderfully atmospheric.

  • Am I the only one who feels these games were unappreciated?

  • @coolestgamenerd I respectfully disagree, although the Oddworld games never had as big an audience as some of the more popular games of its time like Tomb Raider, the people who did pay attention to Oddworld absolutely loved it. I don't think I've ever met another person who's aware of Oddworld who didn't like it.

  • @robohorsemusic I ment to say under-appreciated,sorry.

  • Chiiiiill [:

I love the first 2d abe games...

they were the best of all

  • sigh miss those days loved this game to death =)

  • ='( <=== me right now.

  • just good times back in the day when things were just perfect.

  • One of the best games I have ever played in my life

  • This game is both amazing and wonderful, yet scary and disturbing.

It is both fun and interesting, but BALLS BREAKINGLY HARD AND FRUSTRATING.

Man what an awesome game, good memories! :D

  • Slig:"FREEZE!"

    Abe:"Hello Hello Hello Hello Hel-AGH!!

Slig"HUR HUR HUR! RIBBET! CLUNK! RIBBET!

  • Look out!!

    What?

    Whoooooooooo....

  • a me sto gioco mi fa un pò cagare addosso... la musica peggiora anche la cosa :S

  • @TheUnitedStar Già, la musica mi mette i brividi anche a me....

  • At the end of this song they should've added that "Woooooooooooooo" sound from when the game is loading... I MISS THIS SO MUCH

  • I wish this game stayed how it was when I was a child not like how it is now... 3D and cartoony... I loved it when it was just a twisted 2D platformer with those epic blood and guts.

  • I scared this game and this music like hell as kid.

  • - Hello

    - Hello

    - Follow me

    - Ok

  • questo è tra i migliori videogiochi di sempre, capolavoro incredibile

  • I love it!

  • the escape of rapture farm

  • It's so goooood! LOVE IT!

  • -cries- the link is broken

  • Pure fantasy, no book, game or movie has even came close to replicating the strangeness and wonderful use of imagination. The problem with fantasy/sci-fi these days is that they take place in realistic locations or incorporate scenarios or ideas from real life. Not odd world, it leaves this world and never returns.

  • Im going to start making game music in my own interpretation, hopefully bringing to life some of these old memories even if it is not nearly as good as this masterfully ambient stuff, Im going to start with the oddworld series

  • The greatest game that has ever graced our mortal eyes.

  • This game really excels in everything. The ambient music, artistic enviroments, memorable story and great gameplay is what makes this one of the best games of all time. A masterpiece indeed.

  • I wonder what scrab cakes taste like

  • The Oddworld series is one of my favourite franchises. Lucky that I picked Abe's Oddysee instead of Hercules back in 97'.

  • @DaBlueShadow Haha well done.

  • YUYUYUYUYUY UY UY U YU YU Y UY U YU YUH

  • the song max relaxing of the world :)

  • Remember, everyone: In Odd We Trust.

  • This music brings back the kind of memories that you can't help but smile at. I remember the first time I played this game. I was probably no older than 10, and it reached out to me so well. Everything from the intro sequence to learning the control. The unique scenery and music made me think about everything BUT beating the game. I watched an entire "Let's Play" on this game just to reunite myself with it. There's something strange about this game that just bonds with you..... Forever.

  • i doubt anyone will see this today but steam is having an oddworld sale and their selling all the games together for 8 bucks!

  • I can't wait for all the new Oddworld projects being released over the next few years. More important to me even than Skyrim. Sligstorm, Hand of Odd, Squeek's Oddysee! Stranger's Wrath HD, Abe's Oddysee 2.5D. I'm bringing back the hope people! ODDWORLD'S ALIVE.

  • Game has original resolution VGA. PSP has too small resolution.

  • i always thought this game was abit spooky and evil....listen to the music then look at the scenes of the places in the game...its pretty spooky

the spookiest level with this music would have to be the scrapyard escape

  • Amaizing, this game is art for me

  • great piece of ambient.

  • Very powerful music. Causes nostalgia based tears :(

  • wow. such an insignificant piece of our lives, yet so significant. and right here for the people of the world (us) to share with each other. the minute yet grandiose parts of our lives we think others don't understand. this is the key to world peace. this song says it better than me...

  • HEDO!

  • best, deepest, amazing fuckin game in the whole wide world of playstation (Y)

  • @RAN1ER11 agreed with yu best game is this :D

  • Love how there is no dislikes, 'cause this game was and is amazing!

  • This Theme was the Stage Stockyards or Free-Fire-Zone

  • hello

  • I remember this music gave me the creeps when i was younger, whenever my brother turned it on i wud run out of the room until he started the levels haha!

  • best platform game ever and best game of my childhood :]

    old good times

  • Go to your address bar, after the word YOU and before the word TUBE, type in "win" then press enter

  • i remember waking up back then, load up the PS1 and have a go on abe before going to school, and then coming back home load it up again. Abe was awesome, and still is

  • AWESOME CLASSIC!!!!

  • Epic nostalgia.

  • best game eva ...

  • I love playing on abe. i still got the game and I love the music on it. plus chanting near a robot makes me laugh :p

  • Lol Abe - Heddo. Random Mudokon - Heddo. Abe -Follow me. Random Mudokon - Ok.................*steps on landmine* Abe - Oops.

  • One of the hardest, most twisted games I have ever played.

And that is why I love it.

  • Sweet nostalgia!

  • I like that sound. I wish I could download this soundtrack.

  • I find it funny how Oddworld Inhabitants sort of came out of nowhere, made some awesome, epic games and then disappeared. They were like a whisper of retro beauty that faded away. I hope they come back.

  • They should make a game like these every month :)

  • @Angel94angel94 MONTH!!!!! NO NO NO NO NO!!!! WEEK! DAY :) best series eva

  • Follow me!

  • i love this game

  • I used to get freaked out by the deep croaking sound every time I played this game as a kid. It still evokes a lot of emotion in me.

  • God i love abe

    (:

  • in exodus there was a blcoked door saying 'something labs coming soon' was that ever released?

  • @sisnisterdreams17 The sign said "Vyker's Labs comming soon". That place does exist in an Oddworld game. (I'm not sure if I spelled "Vyker's" correctly). The place is also known as "Vyker's Pharmaceuticals". (I'm not sure if I spelled "pharmaceuticals" correctly.) What happens is somone is captured by the Vykers and you have to rescue him.

  • @sisnisterdreams17 Yes, in Oddworld Munch's Oddysee. It acctually sad Vykkers' Labs comming soon.

  • What this game is...haunting. Like, I remember being scared to death of this game, whilst also finding it wildly funny, whilst also finding it absolutely enchanting. It was visceral, a lot more visceral then games now. But..what this game is? Running through a dark night, everything in the world trying to kill you. Your terrified...but you notice the all encompassing starry sky amidst it all. Your still scared...but fear turns to wonder, and wonder, to the desire for victory. That's oddworld.

  • i cried when i read this

  • all games are always the best :)

  • i sometimes open the game and close to listen this soundtrack over and over!

  • Really nice music.

  • io penso che è meglio cosi...cioè quando ci gioco mi vengono in mente i vecchi tempi quando ero piccolo e la ps1 era come la ps3 oggi...giochi cosi non se ne possono piu' fare già sentendo la musica si avverte che è antico

  • A kickass game that impresses me even today. Brings back memories of my old friend.

  • It would be awesome if they would make another 2d version i even dreamed my own xD!

  • i still have these for ps1 use them on my ps3, still good 13 years on

  • i miss this game SO MUCH!!

  • there is pc version

  • Questa musica è fantastica. Veramente, veramente fantastica.

  • they should really make abes oddysee and abes exodus for psp

  • If you go to the American Playstation store. You can download both of them for use on both the PS3 and PSP

  • yea bit suckish cos i live in england i hope they bring it out for england and what ever....sucks...lol

  • @Shaunbadia195

im in england an it appears on my store, whic is brill, but why is this?

  • @Shaunbadia195 it's the same here in england too

  • @Shaunbadia195 i know i meant like graphic updates more levels

  • @todamam66667 They announced a HD remake yesterday!

  • @todamam66667 or, if you still have the original ps1 cd's, you could convert them using AutoPopstation... the only drawback is that you would have to be using a custom firmware (which I actually recomend, opens up the psp to it's full capability)

  • Maybe one day Oddworld will create a level editor, and some talented people will make an expansion.

I remember this game so hazily, yet I love it so much. I first played it with my uncle who was into gaming. This isn't just a game, it's beauty in disguise. This game is amazing and even has a deep story to tell. Perfection at it's finest.

  • Well said. From the story to the soundtrack to the characters to the environment. Oddworld has such an amazingly enchanting aura, and can even throw in a few laughs here and there.

  • The intro of this game brings tears to my eyes when I remember how much fun I had when I first played it. I could barely get past the first few levels, but when you first get a game in your early years, everything about seems twice as amazing as it normally would be. For this game, that's almost incomprehendable. It's so good already, if you play it with memories in your head, you'll love it three times as much.

Stockyards were always my favourite. The strong creepy sunset colours...

  • Yeah; the stockyards were awsome, and I'd love to return there sometime!

  • @smartlamppost If you miss the game so much, you can download the game for PC. It works on Windows XP/Vista. Obviously, if it is compatible with Windows Vista it is compatible with Windows 7.

  • @Tommygun1135 If you miss the game so much, you can download it for PC. The game is compatible with Windows XP, Windows Vista, and Windows 7.

  • @Microsoftultimatefan It certainly is, but it's sequel Abe's Exoddus, is in no way compatible with Vista, and have actually had to borrow my uncle's Windows 98 to play it.

  • @Tommygun1135 You're talking about the demo version of Abe's Exoddus that you download on the Oddworld website. I have both Abe's Oddysee and Abe's Exoddus on Windows 7. You download them at w w w . g o g . c o m.

  • @Microsoftultimatefan I feel it is a robbery to have to pay to download something I already own on a disk, which I also purchased. It may be possible that the downloadable file works on Vista, but the one that comes on a disk, the one that Oddworld Inhabitants sold earlier, does not, no matter what you do. Oddly, the demo version works however. And now, I feel the need to ask, do you work for microsoft or something?

  • @Tommygun1135 You didn't get a word I said. Hello Windows Vista is a song. Search it on Youtube. The one on w w w . g o g . c o m does work on Windows Vista. It says so on the website. If you download the one on the website you wont have to borrow you uncle's Windows 98 to play it.

  • @Microsoftultimatefan No, you didn't get a word I said. I have seen this downloadable thing, but while it may work, I feel it is stealing that I would have to pay for something to work, when I already have it on a disk, as the downloadable files on w w w . g o g . c o m, are NOT free. Now why do you always reply with two replies?

  • @Tommygun1135 Does you're copy on disk work? Why do you keep saying may? I thought the website told you what it was compatible with.

  • @Tommygun1135 "Do I work at Microsoft or something"? It is hard for me to believe that it took so long for someone to ask that question. Maybe I do.

  • @Tommygun1135 Listen to a song called hello windows vista. That song is verry pretty. Some people may find it frustrating and pretty at the same time. What do you think.

  • @Tommygun1135 I agree with you in everything. As child I was only able to play the demo but even then it had really much affect on me. Then few years ago I found the download of this game and for now ive gone it through 4 times. And yeah, the stockyards part is definitely visually the most impressive part of the game with green-orange sunset and glukkonhead shaded watchtowers.

  • @Tommygun1135 totally agree with you there, a thumb up from me!

  • @Tommygun1135 That comment filled me with nostalgia, it was one of my early years games too....such magic, such atmosphere.

It will stay with me forever.

  • @Shaunbadia195 They just don't do it like they used to to.

  • @Shaunbadia195 A helluva lot more than just a few laughs if you ask me. This game was downright hilarious.

  • @Shaunbadia195

    yeah. beauty. well said.

see? people out their do understand our dreamtime minds....

it's like the key to our souls...

  • @Shaunbadia195 try Paul's level editor on Oddworld forums. Its what youve been looking for

  • @Tommygun1135very well said...i couldnt agree with you more

  • Ps1 and abe's oddysee ftw

  • This music is brilliant. Really really brilliant.

  • Great game as well as music. Exactly how

    ninjas121 puts it.

  • This is such beautiful music

  • They just don't make games like this anymore, the music brings it all back.

  • This songs creepy

  • lol i used to crap my pants when i heard that noise he makes at the start of the game

    (ee!) of something

  • He's actually saying "Hello" lol.

    It sounds like "E-lo" though.

  • nah its before any of that...

its when the music just starts he makes a large sudden sound

    it always scares me

    lol

  • Oh, I know the thing you mean.

When the copyright info is on the screen and you hear these weird croacking noises.

It's supposed to be the different wildlife on Oddworld.

  • Lmao.

  • I wonder why they made the abe's oddysee song so depressing....

  • To be honest I don't find it depressing. I think it's actually a really calm and relaxing little tune.

  • Because the storyline is depressing I think.

  • Well, it's sorta like dark comedy. But as all Oddworld fans know, it has a happy ending.....as long as you save more than 50 mudokons that is. =)

  • Yeah .. I never completed it though, I was like 5 when I played this also I would of had the bad ending ^^

  • @Shaunbadia195

no wonder i had a depressing childhood

i took them like lambs to the slaughter xD

  • hmm at places it is but over all itss quite fun!!!
