  • @wayloncle43 I accidentally deleted my account so now i'm 43Waylon :(

I looked at mine and there is room to hook a puller back there but Ima going to buy the right puller to be safe. Thanks

  • @43Waylon Ahh.. Good thinking :)

  • @wayloncle43 Thanks for watching and glad I could help! Let us know how it turns out. Good luck!

  • @wayloncle43 There's really not way to get the prongs between the stator and the flywheel. The correct tool is about $15 I believe.

  • how did u get the nut off before u get to the flywheel puller?

  • @m0t0cr0ss17 Impact gun

  • the nut which holds the flywheel must be turned anti clockwise to be removed ?

  • @shoeb2015 Yes

  • you have to remove the flywheel to get the bottom part of the cam chain, correct? im changing the chain and i gues si need a flywheel puller to get to the chain the rest of the way

  • @m0t0cr0ss17 You are correct.

  • @Johnnysshop ok just making sure i didnt have to split the case. lol im not prepared for that at all! im halfway done then i got everything out today

  • @m0t0cr0ss17 Not at all. Good luck and keep us posted!

  • Hey I have a 1996 Yamaha xt225 and I need to remove the flywheel, but don't have a clue on what puller I need? Can you help? Thanks!!!!

  • pardon y ignorance, just started learning this stuff. what is the funcion of the stator?

  • @avzeolla Kinda like an alternator basically.

  • hey i was just wondering if you knew what kind of puller i could use on a giovanni 125... iblew the stator plate bought all the new parts and all i need is a puller, ive checked everywhere and there are none made specificly for this model of bike

  • @ThePenguinHunter Not sure. That is the one drawback of buying the Chinese bikes. Hard to find anything out on them.

  • @Johnnysshop alright thanks anyways and i know... ive learned my lesson i will never buy another cheapo product... next one is definitly ganna be a name brand... probly a banshee xD

  • Is the flywheel puller the same for a 2001 yz250f?

  • @23speedracer Yeah, it should be.

  • hey, i have a question, do you think a yzf 250 si good enought to use it in rought terrain, off road (no racing tracks), putting a flywheel on it?

  • @papovideos Sure it will be fine.

  • i have a question.so i tried taking off my flywheel "my way" without any special tool and what i did was put 2 screw drivers in the hole and held them tight and then twisted the nut in the middle, bad idea i know!one of the screw drivers ended up breaking the glue part of the stator,is that bad?it didnt do any real damage just chipped off a piece of the glue.i think thats what it is?glue?but can i still use it?(the stator)thanks!

  • @ChristophersGarage Depends on how big the chunk is. I would keep an eye on it.

  • If im splitting the case to look at the shifting mechanism, do i have to take the clutch and flywheel stuff off, or can i just leave it all on and still split the case apart?

  • @ryguy343 Gotta take it off :(

  • How is that you remove the flywheel "weight"? i really want to remove it on my wr450f but im not too sure how to

  • @Tatted250 Need to buy a lighter flywheel or have the stock one taken to a machine shop to have it milled down. I'd just buy a new one...

  • ah i hate special puller tools. might u be doing a trany video on this? ive always wanted to see the innards of these sequential motorbike gearboxes. something about a rotating drum and grooves...idunno. but they should make them for cars! =D. Great stuff john.

  • @jekyll1776

I sure will! Thanks, I'm enjoying tearing into this thing for now.

  • @Johnnysshop

  • @jekyll1776
