Sure if you put an 18 in a box tuned to 32hz and a 12 in a box tuned to 32hz the 18 will most likely hit harder provided they both have the same power/same brand/same model. Now if you take a 12 and put it in a box tuned to say 60hz vs the 18 in the box tuned to 32hz I can almost guarantee you the 12 would be a lot louder. Woofer size isn't everything.

Personally I think Late Nigh Tip doesn't have low bass in it. With it slowed, then it does. I think LNT is way over exaggerated for a bass tester IMO.

Hey listen I'm from the HT world. What you car guys think is deep or low bass is 30hz or 25hz. What I think is low bass is 5hz or 8hz (which I can hit well over 100dB at 8hz in my room). I can guarantee if you listen to my system and some actual low bass songs, you will think the LNT has high bass in it. Its original version has high bass in it. The slowed down version in this song sounds like its around 20hz on the low note.

Music that's slowed makes the frequency of the note's lower, therefore the subs have a field day with them.

Sorta like a 60hz tone sounds tighter, but when you slow it, it becomes lower below 60 making the sound LOW.
