@MegaGforce5 It looks like a Gibson Les Paul Custom Silverburst. I think they made them commonly in the '80s. My friend has one. That finish is kinda hard to find nowadays.

@TheRSWatch I honestly don't even remember but I do use the "Metal" with the "red light" on for the "Amp Models" and also the presets "Stinkfist" and "Slipknot" quite a bit. Not sure if your amp has these presets but it should have the amp model portion. Hope this helps.

@JanekHussar Thanks man, I honestly don't remember what I did with this one. I think i was on the "metal" setting and just tweaked it a bit. I was also using the presets at that time and the two settings I used the most were - "Slipknot" & "Stinkfist". Not sure if youe amp has these settings as well. Hope this helps.

@MrGigipana First off you are going to have to invest in a guitar tuner if you don't already have one. Once you have it you are going to tune your guitar to standard tuning to begin which is E a d g b e. Then to get started on tuning for this song you will be tuning the thickest string from E to C which is (2) full steps down. Now you tune the other 5 strings down (1) full step each so they're tuned to G C F A D.- thickest to thinest. Hope this helps.

@burnthairturd Did you know that a sunburst Les Paul was used in the song, as well as the video? Talk about keeping things as close to the song as it gets. And I saw Godsmack live once, they were using Line 6 amplifiers, double stack.

@MetallicaKing48 I didn't know that but I know they used to all play Gibson Les Pauls....mainly LP Standards and that's what Tony's Sunburst was...a Standard. My LP is a Custom Classic which was introduced in 07 so it's not the same model as Tony's. I think Tony's playing Paul Reed Smiths now and Sully's still playing Gibson. I saw them live as well back in 06 but it was before I was playing guitar so I didn't notice what guitars or amps they were playing. It was a kick ass show though!!!

I did this cover in a rush and I never even realized until a few months after posting it how great the tone match was. At the time of this recording I was using the Slipknot and Stinkfist settings...try one of those out, I don't think it was a custom setting of my own but to be honest I can't really remember. Actually this is a Gibson Classic Custom, a new model introduced by Gibson in 2007. Customs have block inlays on their fretboard. I would love to buy an early 80's version of the Les Paul Custom in Silverburst like Adam plays too!
