Umm....How would you write Happy Valentines Day In Chinese like i am only 12 and i want to learn Chinese my well i am Chinese but i don't really know how to write in Chinese and i want to make a card for my dad and write Happy Valentines Day for my dad.
It it true that in China Valentines's Day is later in the year? Under the Lunar calendar I think that means 19th August for 2007. Best know as my Girlfriend is in Hangzhou. Hope I didn't miss it!
The traditional Chinese V Day is actually Lunar Calendar July 7th. Being Luna Calendar it's a different day in the Western Gregrerian Calendar each year. But I think it's around July/August. Good luck with you guys.
Happy Valentine's day? Oh dear, yes, as commercial a holiday as it is I still very much wish everyone who believes in it to have a good time with it. The Chinese Valentine's day (lunar calendar July 7th) is a lot more dear to my own heart. I'll try to tell the story in one of my segments, what do you think?
Thank you for the good idea of teaching Mandarin on YouTube. I do have a suggestion though. For us slow learners, do you think you could make the pauses between each word a little longer so we can repeat after you? A little more confirmation on the whole phrase with a longer pause so we can repeat after you would also be helpful. Thanks again and good idea.
I have no idea how to spell it out from mandarin, but thanks for the video and happy v-day. It'll help me out a lot I think lol.

Your accent doesn't sound like you were born and raised in Shanghai, more like Taipei.

btw it would be nice if you would break it down to single words with their translation in the notes to the video (with tones if possible)

Keep up the good work. This is a very exciting idea to me.
How about some basic phrases, such as "Hello", Good-bye", "Thank-you", and "Your welcome"?
I look forward to more of your "In Chinese" posts
