you don't have to buy the HDMI cord for hd tv's as far as i know, my dad has a 65 inch hd DLP tv and 360, the hdmi cord just makes it work in 1080p. normally the xbox only works on 1080i hd, but i don't have a ps3 "yet" so it may be different

Actually 60gig CAN play all PS1/PS2 games because it has a PS3 engine and an "emotion engine" which is basically a PS2 engine. Other PS3 versions have to emulate the games so they might not work properly.

honestly the Wii is the best doubling the ps3 sales. I mean sure the Wii's graphics aren't like ps3 or even late xbox 360 but does the ps3 have any good games? Not much.
