Erin, The Body Shop products are amazing! Natural and against animal testing. I use the vitamin E range, it's really, really good. Take a look at their website. (:
Don't worry.. Good skin care is important to your health too, physical and emotional. Your skin is something you should take care of so I can understand why you gotta buy whatever works for your skin and your budget
I'm so glad you're concious about what products you buy being tested on animals or not! Btw as far as skincare products are concerned, st Ives is cruelty free :)
Not all drugstore brands test you just wont look for them! & you should delete the animal testing video because your coming across like a pretty big hypocrite!!!
@MsBinkies Sad thing is, they are suffering and dying because of testing. Please be careful what you say, perhaps research the subject yourself.
Don't take this the wrong way, I'm not going to preach about using or not using X cosmetics because of the animals, as long as people are informed that the animal testing is KILLING animals, then they're more than welcome to make their own decisions.
@GiddyElle perhaps i should have worded it differently... i was meaning that they aren't infecting them with cancer and other diseases to see what happens to them which often results in death... you kno?
but i will research it. i love to research. thank you.
@woahorwow Just because it's the same brand doesn't mean that all of their products have equal strength so it's not uncommon that clean&clear could work better than their product neutrogena, and everyone's skin is unique. ^___^
You look like taylor swift! I think your eyes, nose and lips are like almost the same only your eyes are a little different! Your super pretty! I thought your video was funny and i liked watching it so good job and dont worry you did good!
1) i am in the totally same boat with you about facial cleansers and animal testing :( i use nivea and i love it, but at the same time the rumours circulating .. ugh! when i'm not a starving student i'll be on the hunt for something else, but for now ....
2) i have also recently broken out on my back!! this has NEVER happened to me before, and i've been trying neutrogena for over a month and i have seen NO improvement. do you recommend the oxy pads??
I love Clean and Clear as well, but I live in Norway and they don't sell them here ... I have to buy them when I'm in like, London or something, and that's not too often :( I really wish we had Clean and Clear in Norway.
I honestly wouldn't worry about the testing, I got really choked up about the topic when I looked into it as well. But in reality, there isn't any way around it. Even if it says on the package "not tested on animals," that might mean they merely contract other companies to do the testing. Sadly there isn't a way around it :\ plus with this recession it's really hard. But I give you kudos for trying! If I could I'd stop as well. xox
I use biore they don't test nether does clearasil. I went cruelty free, it's not that hard. Most of my makeup is Revlon, NYX, and Almay. I understand it may not be as easy for you, but I couldn't live with myself thinking about it...
I use the same cleanser and nuetrogena spf 15 oil free moisturiser and for spot treatment clean and clear persa gel and that has really cleared all my acne! =] I recomend the persa gel if you want to get rid of acne fast, it does dry your skin but use a goo moisturiser!
I used to use the advantage clean and clear acne spot treatment and it worked VERY well then a few months later it stoped and now it doesnt even do anything!!! :(
You should be featured in the Howto & Style section
I don't get why ALMOST EVERYDAY in the "Howto & Style" section they get ugly chinks featured doing some ridiculous "barbie" makeup & all other crappy look
pease don't tell me you're talking about Michelle Phan. have some consideration for the people you pay out on youtube. they are people, not tv channels.
great video! i agree with you, i don't want to use products that are tested on animals but its difficult to be 100% cruelty free unless we're rich.. I think it's the thought that counts. :) I started to use cruelty free products a little while ago,but because I am a college student, it was difficult to be 100% cruelty free. :)
so i am contemplating whether or not i should purchase the clinique 3 step system, and i know you used to use it..i i remember your review from a while ago. you say that you don't want to spend a lot on skin care products...is that the reason you stopped using the clinique products? or did it not work?
by the way, i have more oily skin in the t-zone, and normal everywhere else.
if i used all that like tht my face would be so dry. i use the neutroena mask , grapefruit scub. the olay face wash to remove my makeup and some nuetrogena moisterizer with no cne stuff in it. o and i do use the clean and clear advantage acne spot treatement
Hmm. Well when they were founded their whole platform was to have products that were not tested on animals...and it still says it on all their packaging...
clean and clear is my favorite brand to nutrigina just neaver worked on my face... i love the 3 step skin care thing and my favorite product is the mousterizer it took away my oil!!! oh and i really want to try the morning boost or orange bottoles from clean and clear my bff has it she said it really wakes her up!!
I bought the 3 step thing from clean and clear but I'm confused with it. At night should I wash my face, put the moisturizer on and then oput the small tube thing? Or should i wash my face and night and put the small tube thingy and wake up in the morning and wash it off.
and for the moisturizer should I put it on before I put the makeup on?
I know this is going to sound really strange, but for my body acne, I use diaper rash cream at night. I use this stuff called Bourdreaux's Butt Paste (from Target), and all I do is wipe my skin with something like Oxy pads and then rub that where it's broken out. I put on a t-shirt and go to sleep. I always see a dramatic difference in my skin by morning. And I don't know if it's just that particular brand of cream, it's the only one I've tried. But it works and it's cheap! :)
really, that's cool how long have you been using this method. i use the neutrogena oil free acne stress control body wash (the green one) and after that using the rapid treatment pads also from neutrogena...my skin is clear now :D love love. but i'll try w/e that paste is lol :D
I've been using it for about a year now and it keeps my skin really clear. People just always think I'm weird for using diaper rash cream, but whatever. And if your skin breaks out easily you have to use it comtinuously every night. And it doesn't make it disappear instantly, but in just one night (for me at least) I see a significant difference in the size of the blemishes.
ive tried all of the neutrogena body washes.the pink grapefruit and acne stress control are the best for acctually helping acne.the body scrub was the worst,it didnt do anything.get the pink grapefruit one though, its the best for body acne and it smells amazing!
I just thought I would let you know that St.Ives does not test on animals and it is sold at most drugstores...I'm not trying to make you change what you use or anything. I had the same problem looking for a cheap product that doesn't test on animals and found these products.
just because your conscience is dirty should your face be too? i hope you have never touched a piece of animal skin in your life. or ran over anything or killed any bugs.. because god forbit you kill any poor living creature with a right!
Actually there are a few drugstore brands that don't test on animals: Revlon, Physicians Formula, Milani, Almay, Flirt!, Jane, OPI, Wet N Wild, Bonnebell
Skin care wise, there's St. Ives, Biore, and non drug store brands like Bath & Body works & Victoria's Secret.
great video :) a good replacement for the Kirkland whips (for those who do not live near a Cosco) are the Olay facial wipes, they work reeaaally well.
OMG will people stop bitching yes they test on animals..guess what. if she stops. MILLIONS of people are still buying it! you want to believe one can change the world and at one and at an extreme level one could. but no more animals will be saved if she doesnt buy animal tested problems
then why watch if you dont care what she thinks? there isnt a way around animal testing with skin care products.. if u look it up its stated. in order to come up with new products you kinda have to.. im not agreeing to animal testing but im just saying..there thinking about banning it. i use these same products great vid!=)
clean and clear came out with a makeup dissolving cleanser! i use it every night to take out even my waterproof mascara...its easier than taking off makeup then cleansing...
I know its not Clean and Clear, but when i had a little acne on my back (and when i sometimes get a few spots here and there these days), i tried Burt's Bees Herbal Blemish Stick. I went to the doctor for a treatment too but nothing was working until i found this. It smells strong and not too great, but you get used to it. Its basically a roll on liquid which dries pretty quick, but you see results over night. Its about $8 and it lasts a long time. I totally recommend this!
Screw the animals!! Jk. No -- I understand how that is. And I'm sick of people telling me not to use this or that because of the animal testing -- it's like, yes. I know that they test on animals. But where else can you get something EXACTLY like this that gives the SAME exact results but DOESN'T test on animals? Right. You can't.
Yes, I understand that animal testing is bad, but I would rather not have chemical burns on my face, thank you very much. When it comes to skincare you run the risk of having an unstable product when it's not tested on animals. It's dangerous, since there are acids in there that could potentially mess up your whole face, leaving scars forever.
I love animals, but sometimes, it is necessary for animal testing.
Hey, does that C&C advantage gel help control blackheads/clogged pores? I tried it a few years ago when I had pretty bad acne and it didn't help big pimples. I'm now looking for something to get rid of clogged pores/blackheads.
i had it and it sucked i have a lot of black heads on my nose and nothing has helped i use proactive and it helps the rest of my face except for the blaclheads on my nose=/
i have body acne too and i was looking for a body wash for it and clean and clear did not have any the only thing i like from them neutrgena is there toner witch im changeing
awsome i love clean and clear all most everything i use is clean and clear but 3 things i love the deep action cream cleanser it cleared my skin up in 3 days i have bad acne so clean and clear does what its name says the only thing i dont like from them is there makeup remover whipes they remove my face makeup not my eye makeup whats the item at 2.56
I bought one of my first clean and clear products and I LOVE it! It's a makeup disolving cleanser.. it's AMAZING and gets all my makeup off. You should try it if your cleanser doesn't get 100% of your makeup off. And it's so light weight that you can use your regular cleanser after

Its basically a roll on liquid which dries pretty quick, but you see results over night. Its about $8 and it lasts a long time. I totally recommend this!

I used that Nuetrogena acne body wash thing too, and I hated it. It smells bad and it's not worth the price. I like anything from bath and body works

I love animals, but sometimes, it is necessary for animal testing.

its NEVER necessary to do animal testing. i dont care who you are, or what you think. its never necessary.

Hey, does that C&C advantage gel help control blackheads/clogged pores? I tried it a few years ago when I had pretty bad acne and it didn't help big pimples. I'm now looking for something to get rid of clogged pores/blackheads.

I'm going to have to try these things out!
I bought one of my first clean and clear products and I LOVE it! It's a makeup disolving cleanser.. it's AMAZING and gets all my makeup off. You should try it if your cleanser doesn't get 100% of your makeup off. And it's so light weight that you can use your regular cleanser after
