I just start to learn ASL recently, am hard of hearing. I can sign some simple words now. I joined a great deaf daing site, ----Deafornot dot c om----, and met some good deaf/HOH friends over there. They help me to learn ASL.

I noticed for TODAYyou were just doing the sign for NOW whereas the sign for TODAY is the signs NOW and DAY combined.

And yeah, the literal signing of baby can sometimes confusepeople so doin SWEETHEART (Make 'A' with both hands and keep the thumbs raised [basically just 'thumps up' signs] and turn your hands where the thumbs are facing upwards and then put your hands together at your heart and bring your thumbs down and up a couple time) is much better

Also make sure we can see your hands! :]

I think you should reconsider the sign you use for BABY because using it as a literal "baby" seems kinda out of sync with what the song is saying. Another way to sign it would be SWEETHEART.

I luv ur signing way 2 much . You have inspired me to take part in ASL so ive been studing it online, from friends, ur videos and just places where i can to learn ASL. I really like what you do. Ive showed my mom ur videos and she cried saying what you do is such a beautiful thing, and now i want to do the same. I am going to try to learn ASL bc, like my mom said, it is beautiful and i think what you do is a great thing to have in life. Keep it up :)

good job. id like to make some constructive criticism tho...You could back the camera up a little bit. You should really try to make sure all ur signs are in the frame. I usually make sure everything from my waist up is in the frame. its just better so we can see more than just half the signs.

the sign for today also has the day sign, the sing for i dont know is the sign for to know but u need to bring it down like you would if you signed i dont want, but besides those it was great!

FYI, I think you signed "day" just fine. My deaf teachers do not use the sign "day" however, "now" is the two y's straight down once and "today" is the y's but they bounce a little if that makes sense, that's the difference between the two. My only suggestion would be that we can't see your hands all the time! :) Otherwise, kudos.

yeah, you're right.. i think maybe it's a regional thing

i don't know any deaf person that signs now and the day for 'today'. i learned it as using the same sign with 2 meanings, and knowing which one depending on context :/
