Would this hotel be good for night life? as we hate hotels when nothing is going on at nights! we are not party animals but enjoy a good night out and make new friends. Also has the hotel got good day and night entertainment?
We would be going for 14days from the 13th Oct 2011.
Never been to Mexico so any advice would be of great help :)
We are trying to figure out which resort to stay at the Excellence or the Valentin, and since you been at both who better to ask!!!
We will be getting married at one of these resorts with about 30 guest. Please help us decide on which resort to stay, we need to figure it out since we will be there in first of may!!! Thank you so much!!

Hi Billpickle..we stayed Tues-Tues, and yes it was busy the entire time - except the weekend. We thought that may have been the most common time for people checking in/checking out. It's a well-known, and established resort, so I have a feeling it was normal. We eat our meals early compared to most, so we didn't have a problem waiting at the restaurants. Without patience and flexibilty, it was kind of frustrating at both the pools and beach.
We would walk round and round and could not fine two chairs together. Finally we would watch people to see if they were getting ready to leave, and then take their place. Up early 6-6:30 AM, we would open our curtains and see the husband's saving chairs around the pool. It was kind of funny. On our last full day, I decided we deserved at least one day of a premium spot by the pool, so I sent hubby down to do it too. We normally don't do it, but hey, it was our last day.
We stayed at the Valentin the May prior and perhaps because it was so new at the time, the occupancy was much lower. We could go out at noon and get seats anywhere on the beach or by the pool. Also, I know the mosquitos are sometimes there and sometimes not - we did have them our week in April, so bring repellent. They are out in the evenings, but not as bad by the beach where it's windy. Have a great time!

It was a lot of fun! I would do it again and the water was nice. When are you going? What kinds of things do you like to do at a restorts?
