@ManlyMcBuff Those are called Hydra 70mm rockets. You aim and fire them from a heads up display in the cockpit of an Apache or Cobra but cant control them once they leave the aircraft. Hellfire missiles are connected to GPS and can be "guided" onto the poor son of a bitch at the other end.

However this video is of a FGM-148 Javelin anti-tank missile...completely different from the Hydra or Hellfire.

no it's not you damn moron. The rocket fires at about 10 -15 feet once it leaves the tube. That's hardly enough to keep someone from pinpointing the location of where it was fired. It's has a delayed ignition so the rocket doesn't burn the fuck out of the person firing it.

ive been working with the australian army for a number of years, australia was going too bye this weapon so i had too test it, the explosion was very real, but the missile only hit 1 target and it was the tank, out of ten other missile they all went haywire and went of course. im guessing cause of the extreme heat.

the Israeli SHRIKE E.R is a far superiour weapon then the javalin, it hit 9 targets out of its 10 in the same conditons. same explosion too.

The SHRIKE missile is actually an american weapon that was used by the Israelis. The Javelin was designed as an anti-tank weapon while the Shrike was designed as an anti-SAM site weapon. So of course they will preform differently. MY POINT-Using a weapon system for its unintended purpose and not seeing desired results doesn't make it inferior. Its like comparing a football to a baseball.
