Sammy is a good player and a good singer. But DLR in my opinion was a better singer, he fit Van Halen better, and those 6? DLR albums are superior to any of Sammy's work.

You could like David Lee Roth's music better, but Roth can't touch Hagar for vocal ability.

And Hagar is a good enough guy to keep his friendship and partnership with Michael Anthony while getting Joe Satriani to join a band with him. In the meantime, Eddie Van Halen sticks his own son in the bass slot and ditches his bass player of 20-odd years, and David Lee Roth has to milk the Van Halen cashcow to stay relevant.

name is Vic. just jammed with him a couple weeks ago up at Cabo Wabo. band I was playing with at the time, usually has Arron Hagar, Sam's kid, come up and sit in with us. actually, Sammy was up there too, playing outside on the Big stage, along with Entire Montrose Gang. didn't see sammy or Ronnie this time, but David Lauser and Vic from sammys band sat in with us. total blast.
