@firebirdude2 Thats correct. Using the "slide stop" (not intended to be a slide release) will wear the contact surface on the bolt and will eventually result in failure of the bolt to lock back after the last shot.
Looks like you are using your knuckle...should be using the "web" or middle of the front of your finger. This will help prevent a jerk to the left. Makes a big difference when firing "long" range (50-100 yards).
tip of finger on lowest point of trigger = greatest mechanical advantage. Using the finger joint can result in shots being placed off to the right; and conversely, using too little trigger finger can result in POI shifting to the left. The finger position is dictated somewhat by hand position, make sure the pistol is in line with your arm and not canted to one side.
now thats how its sopsed to be done!!! im tired ofseing people in youtube just jerking the triger and even after i tell them not too they still do but they then wonder "why are my shots not even on the fucking papper?"
I just bought a Browning 22 pistol buckmark RX PRO Target shooting gun. I HIGHLY recommend this gun. Don't use Remington ammo. It misfires. Buy good quality ammo.
Ruger autoloaders are pretty reliable guns, even the old ones. This one shoots better tahn I can shoot it. I use it for Bullseye pistol competition. It will jam with some ammo, but shoots most OK. I'm using Wold Match Target right now for the consistancy and accuracy. Pistol loves it.
I Loved your Video. I also Love that gun! Does it ever Jam on you? I had a revolver all my life, but now I see these Semi Auto Pistols and they look great. Please let me know how satisified with it you are. Thanks for your time!
Pistol Bullseye competition shooters fire using one hand at 25 and 50 yards, so I'm used to it. Otherwise, so folks can see what I am doing! This is a really important technique to master in shooting, and almost nobody pays any attention to it.
Okay fine, I assume he's holding one handed so it's easier to see what he's doing with the trigger. A standard thumbs forward grip (normally used for higher powered handgun rounds, but works just fine for pretty much everything) would obscure most of the trigger from the camera.
thats not rob you losers

Mister "garand champion" isn't even using the target grip thumb rest...and wrong trigger finger position. /fail
ryanalexanderko 6 months ago
For the record, you're not suppose to use that as a slide release. The manual says to use the "slingshot method" to chamber your rounds.

Thumb should not be pointing up and finger tip pad on the trigger

Thumb should not be pointing up, trigger finger should not be pressing with the pad (7 pm pull). Amateur at best

yah slow but accurate.. speed will follow
kentawagi 1 year ago
how do you bend your thumb like that? that must be uncomfortable. Me personally, I'd rest my thumb on the grip's thumb rest.

Looks like he is shooting pretty damn good to me for one handed stability. My hands shake so I usually use two hands, even with .22s.

Actually, what he's doing is perfectly acceptable.
Flumphinator 2 years ago
Just a personal opinion...but to each their own. As long as you can shoot good, I see no problem.

I see exactly what he's showing trigger reset I do the same thing with my Ruger MKIII512

I like the newer versions better, this heel release is not very conveniant.
