I don't think that makes any sense why the remake never came out for playstation. >.> I find that dumb, unless it has then feel free to correct me so I can buy it. Cause I'm seeing a whole lot of remakes for other systems that originally came out on PS1 or PS2 that stayed on them for years. Why are all of their exclusives leaking out to other systems and not even releasing remakes for itself? PS3 Owner.
@GrimFaceKilla812 it first came for the Gamecube in 2002 , Gamecube is graphically better than PS2 , Noting RE4 ..... Re4 Was released on GC first then got multiple now on PS3/360 too ... REmake + Zero are the only ones which didnt get ports , i would really be happy to have them on my PS3 ... I myself font have a GC/Wii , never had anything from Nintendo , at last im still angry over capcom for not making RE2/4 REmakes :/
@GrimFaceKilla812 Shinji Mikami wanted the Resident Evil series to become Nintendo exclusive starting with 0 and 4. This led to arguments with the rest of Capcom, who ported Resident Evil 4 to the PS2. This caused Shinji Mikami to leave the RE series and..."RE"5 came afterwards.
@trinch17 Well that's what I'm saying this game was and still is amazing I would've rather have seen this become a remake rather than RE4 or Code Veronica.
@lakelet1 I know they won't but they should, cause I mean they've already confirmed a Darkside Chronicles remake but no one ever really liked that game and it makes you wonder why not just remake a good RE game for once.

nice they kept some of the same stuff, but it is better to get the game on the ps1 because it has all the features like zombies and so on, Trust me they have missed bits
This is how the Resident movie should of been and in 3-D scariest movie ever and goriest! Well actually Killer Klowns from Outer Space 2 in 3-D might be even scarier hope they pull the gore factor in it the first film is awesome just needed to be a little more scarier with more gore but it was a horror comedy thanks Netflix for releasing it!!
this RE game is the best is simple, hard, scary, dark, and most important SURVIVAL HORROR. RE4 and 5 kind of fuck it a lot but btw i fucking love RE 4 more that RE 5
I put my Gamecube disc on my Wii, and even on component, it just looks bad. I think Nintendo had a deal with Capcom, to keep this on their system only. I think this must be an emulator as the Wii only ouputs at 480p..
@BobDylansNumber1Fan Well if you get one you can buy RE: Archives(both REMAKE and Zero) which i believe is still available, and knowning the "pact" that Capcom and Nintendo made it will remain exclusive,.
Absolutely stunning. The Gamecube was seriously underrated. I know this might not be on a Gamecube in this video, but the original version STILL looks awesome.

I've played through the PS1 RE and gotton 100% on Jill and Chris' story line, can someone who's played both this and the PS1 version tell me if I should get this version too?
@THES3XYMAN101 There are some cracking additions to the remake, such as the crimson head zombies and new areas. The puzzles and progression order (such as Armour and Sword key doors ) has been switched around for the most part. The graphics are stunning and there's nothing quite like the nostalgia this game brings on. There is just enough changed on this game to make areas recognisable, yet totally fresh and actually scarier. I would HIGHLY recommend this game to someone who played the original.
They Really Should remake all the classic RE's in 3rd Personm like in RE4 & RE5. I've always wanted to see the classic Zombies, and Hunters up close and Personal.
the only thing bad about re1, 2, 3 and cvx is where you get bitten many times by a regular zombie and still not die, just lose health. At least a slash attack from 'em and biting them for a finisher would be good and i know this aint a big deal but still this was the only thing i didnt like.
This game is fantastic, the level atmosphere and design is amazing, I adore my gamecube for this. lol @the lag in the video is just from the emulation/video capture settings. I WISH that Capcom would reissue a HD version of this (I don't care how long it takes to remake all the pre-rendered stuff in widescreen either)
I hate 4 and 5 well 4 was ok, but i just love the camera angles in the old games, you just cant tell what's around the corner unless you hear some zombie moaning or them dam dog footsteps and that adds to the atmosphere. Just hope they make some more remakes like this one on camecube
I remember when this game first came out. I couldn't find it anywhere for over 2 weeks. I'm playing it in 480p right now and it still looks great compared to the latest generation of games.

@Joaofigas1 Yep, but that's kinda the point of the remake, it can't be exactly 100% a copy of the original. It has to be different in many ways. That's what make u remember the old times, and u always compare the remake with the original.
And its like: (example): humm i remember this part, so awesome and very different...
@oasisbeyond Sorry sir, but the remake did nothing to hinder the original. It's only improved in every way imaginable. This is one of the greatest survival horror games out there. I'm glad they made it. The original deserves the improved graphics... along with the improved everything else.
This is a great remake, just saying no point remaking this "Remake" again. Let them make new games, or a remake of part 2. But knowing Capcom will remake all of them again cuz they suck bad now.

When those beautiful graphics and gamepad controls become obsolete. Then they could get creative with it. You mean the lastest Resident Evil games suck? Ya, I agree. They aren't really survival horror games anymore. Just like the movies, they progressed to pure action, abandoning the genre they officially started. :(
@Starssk1ttles it does, but when i set it, the emulator crashes. i works on start up but crashes when it begins to render the actual gameplay. i know my computer is capable of handling it, its an i7 3.0ghz with 2 ATI 5470 in crossfire and 8gb DDR3... i gave up getting it wide for now. im still browsing the forums to see if i need to add a patch or something to the emulators data files.
@sheldini2002 Software isnt perfect yet. You could have a Quad core processor but it wouldnt matter because it is currently only compatible with Dual. So it only uses your Quad as a Dual. I have an i7 and when using this emulator, it runs the same as my Core2Duo laptop. Only difference is the videocards and there is not difference in performance.

sobre o jogo. roda sem lag com um dual core, 2gb de ram e uma placa de video descente. tipo uma 9500gt.
isso se voce quiser 30 fps constante do começo ao fim.

Its an option that DOLPHIN WII/GAMECUBE emulator has. It has an hack which allows to play the games in 720/1080p.

Frame-rate sucks, I don't know if this is due to hardware limitations, or because of the capture card/software.

is due software limitations beliveme I have a 4870 and a quad core and even in that hardware is very slow in some scenes but is still playable.
