  • This is so freaking awesome!!!

  • Is anyone else completely weirded out seeing the Janitor in normal clothes??

  • So beautiful. When he says "Hey JD" you can tell JD fully expects something salacious, but Cox tells him Thank You instead. After all they've been through, you know something so small meant so much to JD. I used to love House and Deadwood more than any show on Earth, but this has easily become my favorite. No other show has mixed humor and real emotion so well the way this show has. I can't relate to any series more than I have been able to with Scrubs. So grateful for it ever have existing!

  • Love the testosterone fueled shake between kelso and cox!!

  • This scene is one of my favourites just because it's so sweet. It makes me cry everytime I watch it 'cause it's so beautiful :')

  • The one time he actually calls him JD.

That's nice. This scene is amazing.

  • @mesuhlikemusic Season 1 Episode 1 he called him JD too..

  • You know what went on in JD's mind after he got the pat on the back, "OH MYYYYYY GODDDD, HE PATTED ME ON THE SHOULDER!!! THIS IS THE GREATEST DAY EVER

  • I love how he calls him JD, and not by a girls name...

  • i want to know what the song they use at the end is.

  • Whenever I'm feeling really down about life, whether it be work, or relationships, or just simple hardship, I turn to the music of Insomnium, and this show, Scrubs. I've never been suicidal, but this show and its characters have helped me out of a lot of dark places over the years. There isn't anything more cathartic. Not even Lord of the Rings or Farscape.

  • 0:45

Cox: "wtf this guy is a creeper lolz meh"

  • It's just nice that Dr.Cox actually called J.D J.D that in itself was heartwarming to me

  • Best ending to any episode. Can see how much that pat on the shoulder meant to JD right at the end. Sweet.

  • I cried.. n_n

  • I did this monologue for my drama class in high school. I was never really good at acting, but for some reason, i was able to knock this out of the park. I was the only person to get an A+ on this project, and was even able to make my teacher cry.

  • yeah... nice happy tv world.

why is there never happy endings in live

  • Amazing acting!

  • Song?

  • in the new series they have ruined DR.Cox's characTar

  • @magicalperson100 that's why you stop watching after season 8

  • The dislikes were probably from Dr Cox xD

  • this and Ben's funeral are the best 2 endings

  • does Dr Cox really shake hands with Kelso at the end? wtf :D

  • @ElracherPit he not only shook hands with Kelso....he called J.D. J.D. (no girl`s name)

  • this show made my life.. I really miss it

  • Those 13 dislikes aren't legit, they are just there because otherwise this video would have 0 dislikes. How can you not find this ending amazing!?

  • This defines their relationship beneath the surface

  • if you tab 2 fast, it looks like jd is jerking off :)

  • 1:36

    Know what else is hard?

  • jd´s face at the end :)

  • dr kelso in the back just at the end :D lol

  • if after all that years you still care, it's worth it

  • why dont you drink scotch? :/ silly question but ive never had it? :/ aha

  • @TheFlyingGinger1 because it tastes horrible to a lot of people. Different tastes and all that. And since JD is a fan of appletinis, I'm guessing he's not the scotch type.

  • @TheFlyingGinger1 Specifically, JD doesn't drink scotch. It's a drink you have to get used to. Kind of a burning sensation in your mouth the first time you try it.

  • Scrubs is at the moment the worlds best TV-show. The combination between the humor and really serious scenes make this show legendary. And scenes like this really give me goosebumps. Fantastic!

  • thumbs up if you want scrubs back

  • @eilam42 You mean the REAL scubs, and not the shitty 8th, right? Because I want the old scrubs back

  • @Pinkstarclan you mean the shity 9th, right? that was the latest season with the new interns. and it wasn't that bad but i do miss JD and Eliot and i do wish they would be back. althogh the new characters aren't that bad... Cole is pretty terrible, with that i agree, but Dennise and Dru are pretty good and Lucy is.. well... she's fine but i miss JD talking to himeself.

  • @eilam42 Yes, 9th, my mistake ^^; and to each their own, but I HATED the 9th season.

  • @eilam42 and back like this, not the season 9 crap

  • @eilam42 well dahhh.

  • @eilam42 proper scrubs. Not that season 9 bullshit.

  • @eilam42 I can't do it. Scrubs is awesome in its own right. It needs no more, nor no less to get it's message across. For those who want more I say to you:"I want it to be longer" yes, but that's human nature. The bottom line is it's better to do "too little" than to do "omg should have been canceled years ago"

  • @eilam42 I'm sure people said that at the end of Season 8, and... be careful what you wish for.

  • @nsiderultimaseth true dat

  • @eilam42

No. Sorry, it had to end. I LOVED all 8 seasons of Scrubs but like all things it had it's time. It had an ending. As is necessary. To bring it back would cheapen it.

P.S. This and 'My Lunch' are personal favourites, good upload.

  • @eilam42 only the old scrubs

  • @loopmakerify he had 3 transplant patients who were in dire need of organs and someone died who had rabies (unbeknownst to them) gave them the organs, her disease then spreaded to the transplant patients resulting in their death. He blamed himself for their death and then went into the drunken mess show in this video xxx

  • you dont drink scotch :)

  • keep pressing 3 to hear jd play ping pong

  • I believe this is the first time in the series he calls J.D. by his real name and not a girl's name or newbie.

  • @Crusty133 no in the first episode he calls him J.D. this is the second time

  • 1) He calls him JD.

    2) He says "Thank you".

    3) Pat on the shoulder.

  • to celebrate dr cox not drinking anymore, they went out to a bar??

  • @motionpicturefreak16 Its not that he had a drinking problem -.- he had 3 transplant patient's die because they because the organs were infected by rabies and he blamed himself for it because he didn't have them tested, then he went into deep depression.

  • @motionpicturefreak16 It wasn't for drinking. He was depressed because he lost three patients pretty much all at once. They took him to a bar to celebrate him getting over his depression.

  • badass handshake in the end

  • season 5 = easily best season :D

  • @MrToiletclogger that would be season 3

  • @loltbxx theyre all amazing dont get me wrong. (season 9 isnt scrubs) but 5 is the definate best.

  • This is one of my favourite episodes. Somehow, Scrubs makes me proud to be human. =)

  • This part is so touching. Scrubs doesn't even seem like a show to me. it seems like it's recording peoples lives. Basically every time i watch scrubs i feel touched. I wish that it continued and the soundtrack for scrubs, is incredible

  • the best ending ever of any scrubs episode..

  • I was a fan of Jerome bettis......whoever the he'll that is. Lmfao!

  • John C McGinley does this scene with such affect. You always see a sarcastic side of him, but here you can see the bond between him and J.D even though he would ever admit it.

  • Favourite line, you don't drink scotch"

  • Zach Braff may have all the words in this scene, and he delivers them well by all means, but John C. McGinley steals the show. It takes an incredible actor to be able to impart so many emotions with a mere facial expression. His eyes tell the whole story, and it is absolutely incredible. Bravo.

  • I truely hate the fact that everyone I know either hasn't seen Scrubs or thinks it is stupid. Let me let you know these same people like Family Guy and RayWilliamsJohnson.

  • @Hayaishin :*( A travesty

  • no show comes close

  • He actually called JD by his name a lot in the first few episodes of Season 1. Then JD started annoying him on a much more frequent basis.

  • its funny how you dont realize exactly how rarely Dr Cox calls him JD until he actually calls him JD

  • LOL at Cox calling JD JD!

  • "I was a fan of Jerome Bettis.....whoever the hell that is!" (Dr. Cox looks off strangely) Classic!!!!

  • was this the episode when JD and cox were talking, Cox walks away and JD in his mind (and in the show) see's a cape fall off dr Cox? if it was, I REALLY wish you would have included that in this video it was a great image, thanks for the upload nonetheless, poor JD he REALLY dosen't like scotch, heh 'THAT'S horrible' no wonder he usually goes with appletini's. heh...

  • @Jshaw71 No thats the episode far before it, its the 23rd episode from season 1. "My Hero"

  • This episode is the kind that made me want to be a doctor

  • It's a great episode for character growth:-

JD realises Dr Cox is human and not the superhuman he believes him to be and he can help him in hard times such as this.

Coz realises he is aloud on occasions to let his guard down to take someone else's advice or method

The roll reversal of JD pulling Cox out is awesome.

What happened to Dr Cox in the previous episode was so heart wrenching, you felt for him all the way through this.

    Great Episode and Great Scene

  • I've CRIED at this scene!!!! i love this one X3

  • HE CALLED HIM J.D.!

  • One of the greatest scenes of this amazing show.

  • He calls him JD in the first episode as well.

  • I just... ADORE!!! this moment <3

  • I love this song :$

  • @yourilohuis The song is Gary Jules - Something Else if you wanted to know...just sayin.

  • @IamEternal94

    I know :P

  • @yourilohuis Just making sure :3. And I agree, great song.

  • that isn't the first time he's called him by his name. it can't be. 5 seasons. no way, but it is really special i get that.

  • @jamesXXy2k Actually i think it's the only time he has ever called him JD. He does reffer to him as Dorian in a few occasions but i'm not sure if that's only in season 9 or not.

  • @andreidinamo20 no he calls him it more then once

  • @jhak1341 Yes, after re-watching the show i noticed he calls him JD in the first two episodes. He also calls him Johny once.

  • At the end, Dr Cox calls JD by his real name, not a girl's name.

  • @Gavin17259 now that's friendship :D

  • @Gavin17259 and he responds by blushing like a schoolgirl

  • @Gavin17259 Not the first time though, Ep. 2, at the end he does.. :) just thought i'd say that.

  • they are great actors and scrubs is one of the best shows to be on tv.......its the only tv show that has really put a tear in my eyes.......and to see the final episode really made me cry......2 reasons for that was that it was the last episode from this perfect show and they made that episode so damn sad..........

  • HE CALLED HIM JD THAT'S SOOOOOOO CUTE FINALLY i can only say aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaawwwww....

  • why is it that everyone is in one corner of the bar apart from J.D, who is sat on his own?

  • Dr Coz is one of THE BEST characters ever in a programme

  • Is it possible to love scrubs more?

  • @foxylee I don't think it is because Scrubs is THE ABSOLUTE BEST!

  • I love it when you see those moments when Dr. Cox shows JD how much he appreciates him. They always make me smile.

  • @BlueAuraWolf Especially as he calls him J.D. - he only does that when he means it!

  • Next to Ben's funeral and the finale, this is prob'ly my favourite scene in the whole programme. It's been done brilliantly and I just love how Dr Cox gives him a pat on the shoulder and says three words. Even though it isn't much, the fact he used his real name for the first time really adds emphasis to how important they are to each other, even if Perry won't admit it.

  • Gary jules -3

  • This has got to be the greatest scene in all of Scrubs, even without watching it I can think about it and it makes me want to cry.

  • it was 3 patients that died due to Dr. Cox giving them organs from a recently deceased patient with undiagnosed rabies.

  • press 2:38 several times and it sounds like JD's saying like "jolcom jolcom jolcom"

  • only Scrubs can combine comedy, drama and emotion so harmoniously it's a masterpiece. It will forever be my favorite comedy show.

  • great song aswell

  • Who disliked this video , isn't sensi :D !

  • brings me to tears every time again..the great dr.perry cox....so down, hurts me kinda

  • When JD walks in, you can almost see that Dr Cox has been waiting for him all day. It means a lot that of all people it was JD who was able to say the right words and reach Dr Cox. Just like Cox helped JD to deal with his dad's life.

Bottom line - Scrubs is awesome.

  • @Eluzara You couldn't have put it any better sir.

  • at the end kelso shows up and shakes cox's hand.

  • In one moment he did 3 things he's only done once before. Called him JD, pat him on his back, and thanked him. Which only shows how sincere Dr. Cox was.

  • this is wonderful. (:

  • I hope someone would pull me back if I fell that far.

  • i still think that ever1 needs someone like dr.Cox in there life

  • JJJJJJJJDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDD

  • Dr Cox sounds so weird saying JD :')

  • who the heck r the 12 people who disliked this????

  • @krashnbern41 retarded people

  • @krashnbern41

People who hate the show Scrubs.

  • @krashnbern41 Unpotty trained Labradoodle?

  • lol JD was drinking a beer, no more appletinis

  • how many times I watch this scene, it stays briljant!!! Does it make sense? no, but who cares?? Right? Thumbs up for our fallen hero and our little J.D. for looking for his own hero in his life!

  • fuckin amazin episode, brings tears to my eyes

  • Scrubs is a fantastic show for so many reasons. I especially want to praise the writers. No matter the scene - funny or emotional - the dialouge is always very, very good. No clichés, no empty "filler" phrases. So authentic. That's how every writer should write.

  • One of my favorite endings :( :)

  • ABSOLUTLY FABULOUS ,10 STARS

  • man, scrubs really is an incredible show.

  • Daddy drinks a lot... awesome episode.

  • "Im proud of you" "not because you tried your best but after this many years you still take this hard" "Thats the kinda doctor i wanna be" That part always makes me cry for some reason thats my favorite scrubs scene

  • i think this is the only time dr Cox calls him JD. instead of a girl's name

  • @Jay2300Cee he calls him JD in the first episode. And then again towards the end of the series

  • @Jay2300Cee he did call him JD in i believe the first episode, and the end of the second episode, but following that the use was very rare mostly calling him newbie even after he had long sense become an attending, but he tended to do it during emotional things

  • Comment removed

  • The smile of JD at the end... :)

  • Cox finally pats JD on the back.

  • Best part of the entire series.

  • second.favorite.episode! :]

  • lol jerome bettis... whoever the hell that is

  • @Adrianics4k - Because, alcohol is "the cause of, and solution to, all of life's problems"

  • Aww..JD was so sweet.. :']

  • Appletinies~

  • the guys who disliked it aren't human

  • @digimondirector

True dat. I just love how J.D's talk ends.

  • JD is drinking beer he hates beer

  • John C. McGinley is such a great actor. He truly deserves an emmy.

  • his smile at the end:D

  • why are they celebrating dr cox overcoming his descent into alcoholism by going to a bar?

  • @Adrianics4k HAHA Never thought of that. lol!

  • @Adrianics4k It wasn't about his descent to alcoholism, he didn't have an alcohol problem. A couple patients died because he made a huge mistake regarding kidneys or something, leading to severe depression. They celebrated him overcoming his depression.

  • @loopmakerify he gave 5 patients organs from another patient that were infected with rabies

  • @loopmakerify i think it was 5 patients anyway

  • @loopmakerify if you don't think he had an alcohol problem you need to watch more, he is a complete alco lol self confessed by the way

  • @shagz23 he only bcam an alco after he had the brake down at the end of MY LUNCH. he put organs from some one who died of raybes into 3 people who needed tranceplants and 1 of them was his friend, hence the reson he bcame an alco.

my god, could i say it any simpler than that newbie. sorry i had a dr cox moment

  • @bexislols Well I disagree. Hes always been a drinker. I am familiar with the series. The person he put the kidney in wasnt his friend, he was however a patient of his that had only been around 1 other episode. Everytime u see him at his house hes pounding straight scotch. And it was 3 patients that he gave "Jills" organs too. She was the annoying blonde talky woman. She also features in the last episode during his final walk down the corridor. As an imagination of course.

  • @loopmakerify A few patients needed transplants urgently, but one patient could've waited another month. when a girl dies of a suspected drug overdose, they use her organs for all the patients. but they find out that she died of rabies, and all the patients die. and dr cox blames himself for bringing the early death of that patient, and even more so because they were friends. I know, i'm such a scrubs freak, but you gotta love it :D <3 xoxoxox

  • @loopmakerify he has/had a alcohol problem ;)

  • @loopmakerify i think the transplant organs were infected with rabies.

  • @loopmakerify Maybe somebody already told you :) but the mistake was, docter Cox' donorpatient had rabies. which nobody knew until it was too late.

  • @loopmakerify yea he gave organs that were contaminated with rabies to several patients. one patient could have lived another month without the organ and died from un-treated rabies and cox blamed himself for being careless and not checking for it.

  • @loopmakerify actually a patient they had died from rabies and they used to organs for the transplant patients and then they started dying off and he blamed himself which in the episode before this dr cox tells JD that he wont let him blame himself (JD) for the death of the girl that they got the organs from ( they initially thought he death was suicide and JD felt responsible because he ignored the warnings)

  • @loopmakerify he used needed organ donations and the patient that they got them from had rabies and he didn't catch it

  • @loopmakerify What happened was he made a call to transplant three organs to three patients, two of which were dying and one of them could hold on a bit longer. When it came out that the organs came from a woman who died of Rabies, as opposed to an overdose as thought, he tried to save them. After the two that had been dying died, JD talked to him and was going to help him through it, but then the one who was fine ended up dying, he walked away from the hospital and began to drink so much.
