Thanks Kurt!. When you said the inn was no longer there, before, I assumed you meant it was torn down. Nice to see it's still standing. Anyone interested in Japanese history should read Japanese Inn, as well as its companion, Japanese Pilgrimage. My copy of the latter was printed in Japan. They are both well written and Statler is always a good read. He came to Japan as a civilian employee of the U.S. Army at the end of the war. Statler was also quite the collector of Japanese woodblock prints.
How cool!!! I actually bought that book because of you a while back... Haven't finished it though... But I have it! LOL!!! So very cool that you made this... I will have to stop by next time to see the museum.
I read that book!
Thanks for showing the inn.

Oh, I've got that book. A few years ago I tried to look at the town through Google in hopes of finding it but no dice.

@nokomarie1963 Go to Google Maps (not Google Earth!) and type in "minaguchi-ya, shizuoka, japan".

Interesting sounding book from the looks of the outside of that inn. I'll have to read and stay there :-)

@blackhat2005 He said it's not an inn anymore. It's some sort of business.
