This is a very helpful video, there's not much info on the theme, for those of us who like gardening, plants, etc. (in fact this is a multimillionaire industry) Thank you very much for this instructional video! :))
Hello im from Brazil and im trying to grow some sphagnum moss from dry moss for my venus fly trap; i heard that takes longer than with fresh moss, but i dont have any. How should i proceed to get it to grow faster as possible? (sorry for my english)
@noplacetohideo Thanks so much! As much as I'd love to do a plant update, I am currently living in Israel for the year as I complete one year of religious service at the Bahai World Center in Haifa Israel. This makes it rather difficult to do any updates of my plants/animals back home but I can tell you two things! One, they are doing quite well! My nepenthes ventricosa is flowering! Two, I have already started growing mango trees and such here to continue plant vids! Just hang in there friend.
@Reptiliatus that's interesting and do u believe they have always been this way and have not evolved and what do u think of extinct animal fossils like dinosaurs
You seems to know a lot about sphagnum moss but you touch it a lot and for your safety, you should use some gloves! If you are not too convinced, please have a look on the wikipedia '' health danger''.
@821868254 Peat is decomposed sphagnum and thus it won't grow back at all. If it does, there had to have been some dried moss ontop. The green you see could also be algae.
@MyXboxFreak It's hard to say... I don't know to much about bonsai cultivation but I have a feeling that the care requirements of the sphagnum may clash a little too much unless your keeping humid loving trees bonsaiid. You need to keep the moss moist at ALL TIMES and this may not be good for the tree. The moss can be kept in bright light but it cannot dry out ever! Good luck :)
@krumyesenia G Thanks, well see alot of people that grow carnivorous plants grow them in sphagnum moss so I put up a video on how to grow it since there isn't very much info on the subject... Clearly some people find it useful (401 views in 1 month). No effence but I think you need to be a weebit more positive buddy... I've seen your channel and all you seem to do is give peoples videos negative comments... Is that necessary? Sincerely, Dayyan
@meowski916 Not gonna lie, I wouldn't know lol... But I would guess that it would be good for keeping humidity levels high since the sphagnum needs to pretty much stay wet. Not sure if thats good for the cannabis...
