Smaller never means cheaper. Especially in the world of technology. It's quite the contrary - making something more portable, lighter and smaller, costs a hell of a lot more. Hence, they need to sell it at a higher price. Would you expect a pocket-sized ps3 to run a price tag of 99$ for the mere fact that it was small? Jamming everything from a laptop into the size of a slightly larger PSP isn't cheap. These people pay for "portability" and "on-the-go". Smaller is better for them.

What i like in this is its design and the portability but the Cons is it's too expensive for a 64Gb and 80Gb is more expensive yeah per GB is expensive and the cheapest of it run windows xp not which is not great for this small Laptop.

The P comes with a dongle that enables you to use VGA and a LAN connection.

Great for when you need it but keeping it seperate from the computer means you can make it thin.

Just look at the MB Air, No LAN because it's too thin.

Sony have given the best of both worlds, portable but still has 2 USBs and other connectivity.

It's incredible much faster than regular HDDs. ALOT FASTER. It's also silent, small and cold.

The only problem is that the price per GB is too high compared to a regular HDD, but that will change with time.

And to answer your actual question. SSDs are those small chips you use as storage in e.g. a cellphone or camera. But they're bigger when used with computers.

Most PC monitors and PC projectors still use VGA connectors, and we certainly need VGA connectors on laptops here.

However it would be useful if the P came with HDMI in addition to VGA on it's adaptor dongle.

I almost died when i saw this. Definitively has the best design. I would exchange any netbook for this,even though it doesn't have a CD drive. So small xD But it's not worth the money it's selling for. With Sony Vaio series it's all about prestige, not quality or specs.

Definitely seems to be the Ferrari of netbooks. If you can get Ubuntu on it, it would be the McLaren F1 of netbooks. Too bad that not too many people are buying Ferraris or McLarens nowadays. At $650, this would be a steal. At ~$1,000, this isn't in the discussion for most people. Though, you'll probably see alot of college kids at more expensive schools sporting it.
