The U.S. is a Republic, not a democracy. The Constitution and rights thereof are trampled on, ignored, and twisted everyday.The government answers to no-one and does exactly as they want. Other countries don't demand explanations from the U.S. on how they are conducting huge military spending. Why should China, or any other country be obligated to table an explanation? Great Britain ruled the seas, and everyone bitched about it, including the U.S.A.. Now the U.S.A does it and bitches at others.

In case there's is a military conflict between US and China.. US will win the war with their allies in the pacific region JAPAN, SOUTH KOREA, TAIWAN, THE PHILIPPINES, AUSTRALIA are the main strategic areas where they will hit target from Chinese military installation with long range missiles.. Remember the United States is always ahead in terms of military capabilities..

Chinas NAVY is nothing to the USAs and regardless China cant go to war with the U.S. A proxy war is all you will ever see. Maybe Taiwan or in Iran. But a simple cable to Beijing warning them that any strike on the U.S. homeland means we will detonate every nuclear warhead we have at our disposal, leaving nothing left for anybody, is all thats needed to deter these ungrateful Chinese. They owe their entire existence to America. Better we just sick the Japs back on them. Let them relive history.

Whether USA would have a war with China depend on up coming election for president 2012. If Republican in control of the oval office and the house, the war can be foreseen. From 2001 to 2011, 3 countries and organization leaders has been killed. Sadam Hussein and his 2 sons, Bin Laden, Mohamed Khadafi. It is time for Chinese citizens to wake up and realize what Bejing intends to do.

Lol America is working on DRONES atm or so i heard so when unmaned aircraft enter american survice, then america will have full air superiority along with navy superiority, not only that but with america also doing projects with unmaned tanks and more robot projects.... who knows america mite start BUILDING troops, but this mite take 5? 10? 20? years who knows, all i know is with america going into robotic warfare.... america will be 15 times stronger.

the biggest threat to US naval superiority is sustainability. only US is dumb enough to borrow trillion of dollar to fight endless war it can't afford. only China is dumb enough to lent trillion of dollar to someone who can't pay it back.

if US politic do not change, it will be the fall of Rome. despite China rise, the world is still shape by US today. if and when it does become a decision for China to made, it would already be too late. so this question is meaningless to begin with.

The only navy in the world with the stated mission of defending global sea lanes is the United States Navy. The Chinese Carrier is no threat to the US, but is meant to impress their power upon other Asian nations like Vietnam. The US should really be worried about the DF series of missiles and Chinese Submarines. The Chinese are a great people, but the Chinese Communist Party should not be trusted with that sort of power, given its disregard for human life and dignity.

@PCGamerPortal Wish I could totally disagree with you, but there has been a certain lack of regard amongst certain elements of our society. I believe in capitilism, but some take it too much as a religion and human dignity be damned if it doesn't earn some fat cat more money.
