A pro singer like tyler should be able to hit the bottom *and* top notes of the Anthem. Tyler didn’t put any finish on his notes (an amatuer trait) and was slurring it in some spots. It's The National Anthem and "musical artists" should respect it by singing it as it was written.

She added an R&B spin to it, along with a second soprano high sky high note, (that by the way was higher than those plans that flew over head) at the very end! Definitely the best ever. A few points-  It was not performed live. She lip-synched it but I don't have a problem with that because it would never have sounded so good. It also is in a different time signature than the original way we usually hear it. Instead of 3/4 time it is in 4/4 which adds to the majesty. You can feel the electricity in the crowd- it's a shame we are so divided now.

@BellaKiersten If you research this you will see that it was pre-recorded. She did sing "live" at the game, but the mic was turned off. As I said, I don't care.  I'm glad they did it that way because we now have this masterpiece. You could never get the quality of sound of the orchestra and clarity of her voice with all that crowd noise in the background. It is the smart way to do it and not a negative reflection of her abilities. She sang it the best ever. I doubt it will ever be topped!

She did two important things that new singers do not do. 1. She sang it majestically as National Anthems should be sung without ridiculous vocal pyrotechnics, and 2. she changed the cadence slightly without trying to "make the song her own" and used an orchestra. Unless your voice is perfect, do not embellish. She recognized it as what it is, our Anthem. If the Anthem is sung as written, it is truly majestic, as all National Anthems are.
