And don't give me any shit about the pressure, the car is still at the surface so air pressure is pushing to get outside of the car, therefore a regular whack with a hammer would immediately cause the window to shatter outward to relieve pressure.

Wrong, try it you'll see. The problem is leverage. We trained for water rescue from a closed vehicle and the doors can be opened, unless they are locked from the inside. Pressure at 10 ft is only marginally higher than on the surface. The problem is breaking the suction and that is done with constant pressure. The pressure in a car filled with water is the same as the surrounding water. Physics 101. Of course someone has to get wet, and that requires courage. You can't win unless you play.

You cant open the door in the front. However, you can open the door in the back. She was probably in the front seat, stuck with her seatbelt on, submerged under water, trying to open the front door but couldnt. Never realizing the back door is free from water, she probably drowned. And drowned she did.
