@Guitarnazis Do you know what is really weak? Someone who calls himself Guitarnazis, tells an extremely talented musician he plays poorly, and not even have one video of yourself playing guitar on YouTube to prove you have any skill at all. I'm sure you don't even play guitar. If you do then you play heavily distorted garbage that doesn't take any real skill or talent.
Perhaps a good stage name might be "Eminent to Carpal Tunnel Syndrome" :d good picking though. As long as there is a legacy and pocket change what better reason to extinguish our bodies?
Yo Adam - do NOT stop making facial expressions while playing because some people dont get it. This isnt a phenomenon only done by tommy emmanuel - its done by most musicians who "are feeling it", its a natural response. If the musician aint feeling it then its unlikely the listeners will either. Keep doing what you gotta do to remain an awesome player !!!
Making faces is part of performing. I have to say though that Tommy Emmanuel is the most NATURAL and believable person who practices this. I have NEVER seen someone play who seems so into it as Tommy and is real.

i really like your playing alot but it seems to me like your trying to be tommy e i think your faces are 2 much i like this when im not watching the video but cant stand watching it but hey guess thats what radio is for =P
This is so good. I'd love to see a video of you playing "Foggy Mountain Breakdown" or "Hog Bitch Stomp" by Buckethead. That would be absolutely killer. Rock on, mate. Thanks for the great tunes.
Reminds me a lot of the song "Midnight Express" by Extreme / Nuno Bettencourt. Look it up on YouTube by typing: midnight express Nuno. The name of the youtube account with a great vid of it is TOBLERONETWO so look that up too!
Ok now I'm really irked. Why is this guy not walking the red carpet? Why do we as a buying and listening public continue to support vacuous music that doesn't mean shit to a tree. Honestly, this cat is outstanding! Really though, am I totally out of my head? I don't think so. Man, just a discrace that....well who knows perhaps he's doing just fine where he is. What the hell do I know.
Not to worry, things are going well. Touring is picking up & I am playing with TE in Bangkok on Oct 31. Granted I am not at a Britney Spears level yet....
That makes me glad. Truly I am gob smacked by the music you have been putting out. Thank you. Any gigs in Ontario? "I wish" OMG man my head was cleaved from my body, just fantastic.
WOW! Excellent job, brother. Any chance you've tabbed this song out somewhere? Or at least provided the tuning? Is it DGDGBE, perhaps? The vid stutters a little on my slow PC, but it sounds like there's a little Brad Davis style DDU? Nice work!
Sure he studied and sure he had great teachers, but I tend to think that there are alien forces at work here. Shhh...quiet please...pondering this theory. Um...maybe not, maybe he's just damn good and I've had way too much Starbucks coffe for my own good. Keep it up the good work Adam. Thanks. Peace.
Music Ed! Starbucks is partly resposinble for me playing music like this...:-) Actually I introduce this one at gigs saying "this next song is a little like Dukes of Hazzard meets Van Halen"....well it is, isn't it? :-) Glad you dug it...
wow u have amazed and inspired me again to get myself an acoustic guitar, i love how you just use one instrument and its so full, you don't sound like your missing anything. Plectrum skills as well, Sweep, Alternate Picking, you sound amazing, so you can play electric guitar as well?
Good Question. I have had lots of teachers, most importantly my jazz teacher who was Dizzy Gillespie's pianist. What I do with solo guitar is a combo of all I have learned and is my own approach, but there is a lot going on "under the hood" . I had to teach myself a lot, and practice A LOT - but I did study music seriously! Thank You for the comment!
Sure. I use .012's - experimenting with different types, D'Addarios are nice and cheap but the regular strings die quick. Also messing with Elixirs & Cleartones.
Picks on acoustic that I use are Jim Dunlop medium thumbpicks (no right hand nails at all) and for flatpicking a big Dunlop 208. It feels like carbon - stiff and pointy.
Hey, Adam! Really great stuff! The funny thing is, most of these viewers probably have no idea that you are one of the best bop players in the country! Why don't you post some of your other stuff, too, to show them your alter ego? - Dana W, Spokane
HELL YEAH! That muting technique really kicks ass... I gotta try that! Adam, this vid has been saved in the Acoustic Virtuosity archives - the best of the best acoustic music on YouTube...
