Alright this is it how can ANYONE watching this not prefer the back court camera angle? Why is that not the primary tv angle? There is some answer to this, but it clearly has nothing to do with what is the most enjoyable way to watch tennis on tv.
i don´t understand how warinka is not in top 10, so talented and great player. And it´s not the only one who i think deserve to be in top 10, like richard gasquet, mickael youznhy, nishikori and ernest gulbis. For me these players has to be in top 10 all of them, i don´t think roddick, tsonga and del potro are top 10 players.
@portfaz18 Its to do with Mental Strength, alot of players like Gasquet and Wawrinka choke and tighten up when it comes to closing out big matches. Look here, Wawrinka was a set and a break up then got tight, look at Gasquet at 2008 wimby v. murray and this years french v. murray
@conziborg2 i agree with you, but this year's french open loss vs murray was an other story. gasquet lost because he still was exhausted from the final in nice where he defeated verdasco in three close sets.
gasquet couldn't do anything after the 2nd set, he didn't even try, you could see it
@conziborg2 stan has changed dat now with his win of Murray at the us open as for gasquet if hwe is picked to play in the davis cup final he could change having said that he beat davydenko on straights at the us open
@portfaz18 roddick has been in the top 10 for like 8 years now, that's quite a remarkable achievement. and delpo winning the us open at the age of 20 and having had a 4 tournament winning streak, that's unreal.
@NiggeliNG roddick for me is not top10 player, he just have service and the rest of his game is so blah so bad, her righ hand is not good, is just a defensive player. I usually call him the second bad version of andy murray, because murray has a amazing defense game, but roddick is just a pusher. Dep potro i agree with you, he is a great player but he doesn´t have a beatiful style!
@NiggeliNG I think that Roddick in the last few years has become a bit of a pusher. There is the odd match when he finds his form from the back of the court and can dictate, but most of the time now he relys on big serving to see him through
@conziborg2 true in one sense but wrong in another. You're right in that he grinds it out a lot, tries to just make the opponent falter rather than produce the magic himself. FYB had a look at his gameplan in early 2010 (pretty much been the same way since then) which was to vary between slice and topspin repeatedly just trying to let the opponent fire away without a solid rhythm. However, as for his serve, his av. first serve speed has dropped to 196 kph.
@conziborg2 I really want him to start playing again like he did against Federer in the Wimbledon 2009 final: use the body serve almost excessively, but make it 215-230 kph so nobody can get a read on it at all. In that match he put away a fair few easy games with maybe two down the tee aces on the deuce court and then two of the body serves on the advantage court.
@conziborg2 you said that 'he relys on big serving to see him through'. That is what I was referring to with my comments on his serve. He's serving slower than he used to, and is using more variety (more slice and different positions) rather than just serving 'big'.
@portfaz18 True with roddick and tsonga, but go and watch some of del po's matches and you will understand. Gulbis has just massive potential and I believe with a few years experience he could be top 5.
@MrCornfeld I disagree, Del Potro matches up well against Fed and did match up well against the not so sure on hard court coming back from injury Nadal but he doesnt match up well v Djokovic, Murray, or the new more aggressive Nadal . He did well to win a slam but I dont personally see him winning another
I know there's a lot more than just technique and shots that determine the success of a tennis player, but really....I'm surprised Wawrinka hasn't been "more" succesful than he is right now...I mean he really has top 5 stuff in his game. Can't believe how much power he gets on those shots since he's not really that big of a guy compared to most of the giants on tour nowadays.
Wonderful backhands, both guys! Bravo!

@portfaz18 roddick a pusher? i think he understands to dictate the point with his forehand pretty well.
and i love delpo's style. brute force forehands, entertaining to watch

Del Potro is Number-one-material. Roddick has one a grand slam... Tsonga has been in grand slam final... it's not all about talent.
