Question about asking for a credit increase to lower credit utilization rate.
What's the general rule when you ask for an increase, in order to maximize chance of getting increase approved. At the same time maximizing the increase in credit. I don't want to ask for something too safe where I get a measly increase
If I currently have a $1,200 limit on a Wells Fargo credit card completely paid off, what is the maximum increase that I should ask for?
