If you're gonna use your ring finger instead of your pinky when you solo, you should learn how to use baseball grip, with your thumb resting on top of the neck by the low E string. You're using classical grip, if you are gonna do that than use your pinky. I can see you are stretching way more then you should be and it's not efficient or good for your hand at all.

i had this guitar it sux a lot.. cant even play normal chords on the guitar.. its sounds like shit.

Buy an epiphone.. worth the money for the same price.. 100x better..

@niloxfreak i don't how much you played it but if you say the GRG170Dx is shit it means yours had problems. This is one of the best guitars to start with, it has a great neck and it's really comfortable.

I also wanted an Epihpone(LP) and i went for this because the Les Paul is hard for beginners, at least if you want to play metal solos and riffs..if it's all about slow, easy rock riffs LP is the way to go even though this guitar is still better to play.

very nice cover. i'm guessin you play way more accoustic than electric. when your finger picking try planting your pinky finger on the body of the guitar and you'll have alot more control over your right hand
