This is why I would not ride on a car when my brother drives me somewhere because he always speeds and rarely pays attention on the road. I would not risk my own life playing Russian Roulette while he's driving.
but seriously though, the UK needs ads like these, I live in Plymouth by the sea and if anybody else knows of the area, they will know about all the boy racers that drive by in large numbers, racing eachother and being pain in the asses in general, ads like these might make them think twice...or maybe the death of one of their friends
what i'm about to say may sound barbaric but people like that should be shot or put into work camps... I'm tired of ass-holes ruining the lives of other people.
when driving your first priority should be the occupants in the car, if they feel uncomfortable when you are driving or they will distract you when you are behind the wheel, do not bring them along
No matter how much a driver tries to concentrate, he or she can't predict the behaviour of the passengers. This advert shows that a passenger doesn't have to be a child to act the fool.
Completely understandable - it's also really upsetting me now and I'm about to turn 20! There's just no way of preparing for it, even in an ad, because you know just how much of a reality it is to so many people and their families.
They could call people 'bloody idiots', but in the end the UK never really has the same sort of guts that the Australians. The UK's attempts at shock tactics often compare to the Australians and the New Zealanders.
Those shorts a famous shorts called "stubbies" very popular with overweight 40+ men. I have know idea why these men wear these shorts cause I've never met a sheila yet that likes them.
And it's the full version of the ad to boot. This is the TAC ad every Victorian of the day remembers because of the girl in the back screaming "Darren!" right before both cars collided.
OOOOOOOOOHHHH! A yummy, bloody mess! Somebody in the State of Victoria is trying to outdo the British COI in shock-horror. That someone is doing a whizzbang job of it, too.
Too right! I was watching a show talking about all of the road safety commercials in Australia and New Zealand...on the show, they mentioned in N.Z. that they stuck gory pictures on windshields of cars in school zones. The pictures were cracked glass, and a child with lots of blood coming from their head, pretty much the P.O.V of what could happen if they didn't take care. There were protests about it of course...
love how no-one gives a shit about the XD falcon

Why the fuck does the TAC insist on wrecking perfectly good classic cars? Wreck an EA falcon or a VN commodore instead.

As tragic as this video is (I cried when I saw it), it proves a valid point. Slow down, and watch what's in front of you.

Is it just me, or do these Aussie road safety campaigns seem to borrow a lot of George Miller's filming style from the first Mad Max film?

I like how these advert show the WHOLE story. they show before the accident and how it happens
the often show the actual accident
and the show the aftermath, wether it be the driver going to jail, serious injury, or death and the affects of the victim and familys.
you dont really get that in uk adverts.

I meant to say 'that the Australians have' and 'The UK's attempts at shock tactics often don't compare to the Australians and the New Zealanders.

In this scenario, the crash had to be done. We need less obnoxious kids.
Awfully itty bitty shorts on the father, huh? *shudder*

Yeah. The British tend towards more subtlety, as evidenced by the fact that the Think! campaign doesn't use the phrase 'bloody idiot'.

Nah man, Australia and New Zealand have always done more gory adverts than the COI. Ours are never that bad! Shame, really...
