Im looking for software for the PC to see how you 'all' can tell this is fake.. Can you all tell me what software you use so I can get hold of it and test it myself. That's a great/beautiful close up of the moon by all accounts, what scope you using? Just another thought tho, anyone ever got the American flag in their scopes? I have a 8" refractor scope which needs to be set up by hand and in a month or so I'm gonna look at the moon through it. see if I can see that blinkin flag.

The rest of the time the black that we see is just the "night" side of the moon. It denotes the location of the Moon to the Sun, not the Earth to the Sun.

OK folk on Sunday June 12 2011 @ 8:83pm PST I did indeed see the same anomoly thru an 8" meade. Whatever it was was traveling lower and in the opposite direction. Whatever is was is at least ten miles long and traveling at 5 to 7hundred miles per second. as the craters you see here are an average of 50 miles in diameter. Some as large as 120 miles across. BTW, 700 MPS is slow in comparison to what would be needed to fly in space. If it's a UFO. Right now, it's an anomoly.

Something on the Moon? Yeah! It's called an exploratory satellite such as Pioneer, LRO, Lunar serires orbiters, JAXA's Selene, Kaluga, etc. Artificial satellites tend to hold a lateral line which is the case here.
@chrisjdoran Yeah, you are right. Too big to be a satellite. Now that I think about it, it looks more like some sort of FX or CGI production with the Moon as a backdrop. Notice how the shadow from the craft falls to the N/NW sector, whereas the shadows from the Lunar craters fall towards the East.
Had the shadow from the "craft" been falling in the same direction as the shadows from the craters, the "craft's" shadow would have completely over shot the Moon.

If this video is authentic, I noticed a shadow directly behind this object, which means it must be close to the moon. However, it traveled in a straight line and didn't do anything else. Because of that fact, I suspect it was most likely space debris.
it could be most likley a satitlite, the shadow of this satilite will grow in size determining how far from the point of shadow or direction of light. the farther it is from the moon's surface, the bigger the shadow, the moon is alot smaller then earth so the shadow could be huge looking, but only maginfying the satilite's shape of blocked sun light.

It's close enough to the moon to cast a shadow and the shadow reacts to the topography of the moon. Is it unidentified? It is. Is it flying? It has to be able to change direction and or change altitude or even slow down and speed up to say someone is flying it,. Is it an object.? Seems to be. Is it aliens? Everything that is consider to be an UFO needn't be alien in origin. Is it cool? Yes it is. It's like seeing the moons of Jupiter through an amateur telescope. Cool!
Look for the Amercian flag, we left one there right, if we did, you could almost see it with your zoom, so an even better zoom should show the flag right?
Its a satellite in earth orbit. The part of the satellite people have been calling a "shadow" is not a shadow cast on the moon at all, but a part of the structure of the satellite. These are common anomalies because of the sheer number of satellites and debris in earth orbit.

@xDeRyAxBx so - on earth air resistance means to do 200mph you would need a very powerful car. In space with no resistance mega high speeds are possible with very little effort at all - no resistance. The faster you go in space it does not matter, 10mph will feel the same as 10,000 mph.

If this video is authentic, I noticed a shadow directly behind this object, which means it must be close to the moon. However, it traveled in a straight line and didn't do anything else. Because of that fact, I suspect it was most likely space debris.

it could be most likley a satitlite, the shadow of this satilite will grow in size determining how far from the point of shadow or direction of light. the farther it is from the moon's surface, the bigger the shadow, the moon is alot smaller then earth so the shadow could be huge looking, but only maginfying the satilite's shape of blocked sun light.

It's close enough to the moon to cast a shadow and the shadow reacts to the topography of the moon. Is it unidentified? It is. Is it flying? It has to be able to change direction and or change altitude or even slow down and speed up to say someone is flying it,. Is it an object.? Seems to be. Is it aliens? Everything that is consider to be an UFO needn't be alien in origin. Is it cool? Yes it is. It's like seeing the moons of Jupiter through an amateur telescope. Cool!

Its a satellite in earth orbit. The part of the satellite people have been calling a "shadow" is not a shadow cast on the moon at all, but a part of the structure of the satellite. These are common anomalies because of the sheer number of satellites and debris in earth orbit.
