Religion is not the answer. The Pharisees had religion down pat. Jesus Christ came to work on the inside--to regenerate the soul. Once a person understands that Jesus died on a cross for them to atone for their sins, was buried, resurrected and is returning in glory, and they ask for forgiveness of sins & redemption, the work begins. So, this is way beyond religion. Religion is man feeling good about his own self-righteousness. Jesus says, I am your righteousness. Eternal life is my gift to you.
Unless a person is truly regenerated by the Holy Spirit, the works of the flesh will continue to influence a soul. Even among those who have been redeemed the flesh will fight the Spirit, especially if a person feeds the flesh. The works of the flesh are listed in Galatians 5:18-21. The fruit of the Spirit is listed as well in 22.
Jesus Christ came to redeem the lost who believe in Him. The last thing the world needs right now is glorification of rebellion. The Spirit can create heaven. Believe.
God knows His creation. Telling people to imagine no afterlife gives them a free pass to do whatever they want without fear of consequences. The man who shot John lacked fear of God the day he shot John.
If John could look back, he might be wiser now. He might say, can't encourage people to imagine there is no heaven. Dangerous thing to do.
Spiritual warfare is very real, but so is Jesus Christ Son of God our redeemer. He is worthy of our devotion & praise.

the beatles broke up not because of yoko, at least i dont think so, but because they were all married and they didnt want to be the beatles anymore.
by the time the white album came out, they were making records because they loved making music, not for Beatlemania or record sales. john was truly happy with yoko. yoko was his inspiration for many of his songs, including this one. as long as he was happy, im happy, and im sure none of the beatles were upseted by johns decision

They actually were falling apart even before Yoko... Yoko just made the breaking up faster, but they knew that Abbey Road would be the last album they recorded (even if it wasn't released last). I do not especially like Yoko, but she isn't 100% to blame.
