Overall a good review. Camera keeps moving and distracts from the video. Camera should be mounted on a tripod and not bobbing up and down.

@santi781 She said near the end that it has to be plugged in to work. So I'm assuming it doesn't have any sort of backup battery (internal or external).

It is uninspiring, sluggish, slow, boring.

If I received one of these for free, I'd sell it on Craigslist for $40.

Buy an iPod Touch or an iPad Touch instead.

I don't see it like an exceptional gadget . Instead of buying this crap for 200$ ( sorry , my opinion ) i could buy an iPad($500) or the new Asus gadget Eee Pad ( which is a little lower than $500 ) . Anyway i think Sony could build something more useful than this plug-in gadget .

I like all the features and themes. But i give a grump to the app wibdow.

What I hate is the apps have to scroll. You cannot stay on an app. iIt is complicated having a clock or weather app or even a news app you want to stay on, you blink and the app has rotated off.

Even in Potobucket mode the pictures are a slideshow. You can't stay on 1 picture.

I don't understand the real need for this device? Its too expensive to justify replacing your alarm clock and not interesting enough to want to engage with on a daily basis. Who wants to stand around while this product clunky displays information. This a typical example of companies developing touch screen devices fail to deliver intuitive and responsive touch interfaces that are pleasant to use. Sony's trying to create a niche where there shouldn't be. Make this content fit my life better!

@adamhughesy I find it usefull not only in your bedroom, kitchen or living room, it can also be used at work in the office to view your social network accounts, it supports HD video so you can also watch 1080p movies on this, if you don't have Internet connection I see this device very usefull since it has USB port so you can play all type of multimedia formats, in audio you can use AAC, MP4, MP3, WMA and in video it supports H.264 1080p, AVC 720p, VC1 1080p

@5toic It has accelerometer support but so far it only works in two landscape orientations. The upside down view is for movie watching when you put the Sony Dash on a surface.

Seems like a decent value proposition at this price level. Compare it to what a wifi radio would cost and how much more this unit does which includes the internet radio function. Great gift idea ...
