  • Great video! We're waiting til our little runners are feathered before we let them swim, but I'm sure it'll be worth it!

  • @LordBryanAZ

thats awesome!!!! everyone has different methods in raising ducks. But just so you know, I work at a a zoo and its ok to give your ducks just a few minutes of bath time when they are young. However never give them unlimited access to water. ALso, if you put minows in the water they go crazy and learn to catch fish! Same can be said with crickets. I highly recommend buying crickets and letting them catch and eat them. Its safe and fun to watch! Good luck!

  • How much was the goose?

  • I think probaby 7 bucks.... all together with shipping it was only $ 50

  • wow they can be in the water that early

  • they can be in thw water the moment they are born

  • yea. The need to be so when its time their oil glands will function and not get water logged.... But you can only let them swim for 5 minutes.... So they dont freeze

  • omgg they are so cute. i didnt know about these kind of ducks till last yr when we went to a park and saw them. i feel in love with them ever since. they have their own unique personality. i wish i had one.

  • ya!

  • So cute!! I'm waiting for my ducks to hatch this week. Bought the eggs on ebay and my hen is sitting on them.

  • How would you know? They ship them right when their born so that they can survive on the nutrients from the egg for up to 70 hours. I also paid extra and had them ship them with grogel formula.... I did everything in my power to make their trip comfortable.... they arent available where I live... Im sorry if you truely think that its inhumane but In my opinion I did the best I could.

  • @Chicksley This is a normal practice and very safe when you order a minimum number for warmth. Yes, they have a lower survival rate than if you bought them direct from a farm to your house, but it's generally very safe. The places like McMurrey Hatchery wouldn't survive business-wise if all you got were sick/dead ducks.
